Ouch!! $323. Having had a couple of vehicles where I needed some switches, and my scanner, and sometimes a PA, I usually fabricated my own center console from plywood. Do a good finish, then wrapped in vinyl after padding it. It always outlasted the cars.

uploadfromtaptalk1410233187637.jpg See those new shiny bits with the purple stickers? New Monroe Reflex Monotube shock absorbers. Put them in at the seediest parking lot I have ever worked on a car (and that's saying something..) At the Advance Auto Parts store in Takoma Park, MD, right outside the NE DC line. Was kinda fun. Lotsa people workin on cars in the parking lot like it was their own personal garage. Employees checkin batteries n such not givin a sh!t that we were all workin on cars knee deep in road grime and grease. It was awesome. And fun. The ride has improved 100% and I even got a decent squall out of the rear tires around a tight corner at WOT that used to only produce a stupid (and annoying) chatter. I'm happy with'em.

Most likely I will end up with a fair bit of electrical equipment in the console so I will need as much internal space as possible plus I don't really have the access to woodworking tools as I would like to have. So that's two reasons I'm going this route plus the simple reason it's pretty much bolt in other then needing to cut down an already internally messed up oe console.

The nice thing that I liked when I did it myself was that most of the equipment went with me when I moved to a new car. When that happened, if it fit I could keep the majority of the custom console and just create the sides and or bottom to mount in the newer car. When I altered it to go into my Mustang I had enough space that I was able to make a hidden compartment. I had a hidden hinge and hidden remote pin to keep it closed. I just controlled the pin through an old camera shutter release cable. Push the shutter release button and the door dropped open.

While it worked for me, it might not be for everybody, and while you might not be skilled in woodworking, there might be others. Lots of carpenters around with nothing to do might take that job for a lot less. I'm betting that while you might not be able to build it, you could certainly draw up the plans.

I may need to talk to my buddy that runs a fab shop about building a similar unit to the havis. The problem with wood for this style of console is that the needed internal bracing to give it similar strength would eat up a fair bit of internal space. Not discounting the idea entirely since I could apply it to other rigs in my collection like my full size gmcs.

Slept in it for hours today, everyone in my battery minus like 5 of us went to the field. So with nothing to do... naturally I slept. I have to be "watched" since my incident, so i'm not allowed to go home until they get back from the field on Thursday....bullshit. Being treated like a child.

Take the sleep. It will certainly help with most other problems.

I agree, but I would rather do-so at my house and Skype my children in the privacy of my own home. I'm on Duty tonight, don't want people to bother me while i'm trying to see my kids via Skype

Yesterday a new fan clutch, alternator, and water pump. My alternator decided to stop charging when I was watching the temp gauge on my frantic drive home. I killed it twice to coast in my neighborhood. Pump was steaming and leaking. No more cheapest parts for me.

I don't know the whole situation, but it's only a few days till you can get home. You might consider taking the initiative of what you think your CO might recommend. PM sent.

When I spoke to them I saw where they were coming from, from their perspective, but I assured them nothing would escalate. They know that, but in a way I think they're covering themselves in case something bad did happen. Which it won't and they know that, but has to look good on paperwork you know? If they weren't out in the field there wouldn't be an issue of me being at home.

Standard procedure unfortunately. Had that experience with a few Marines here and overseas. You can only take it one day at a time. Hope things get better brother.

Does changing the upper control arms screw up the alignment? Ive got the new ones but don't have time for an alignment this week.

No, no adjustments there. Unless your stock arms were all bent out of shape that is.
