Repaired the center console lid and reinforced it with carbon fiber samples. Had to sand the pieces with a dremel for easier fit.

Same thing with the center console tabs:

Not the cleanest job, but will hold for a while

I need to fix mine, but the plastic piece in between the top and bottom layer has broken out in shards. So the whole top sags. I was contemplating filling it in with shaping foam or something else until I can just get a new one.

I have had to do the same repairs also to my center console and lid. Seems like they didn't do to well of an idea using such thin plastic on in that area.

It was exactly what happened to mine, and I'm pretty sure to everyone who got it broken. What you see marked in yellow was the ~7 pieces I had on mine. It was big hole with kind of like the shape of Texas:

I sanded the edges of the pieces with the dremel because it was too hard to line them in the right position, because they broke while bending. Then glued the pieces with super bonder, and then reinforced the back.
If you are looking into a replacement, they are very abundant on ebay.

Agree, the whole center console is not a good quality thing.

Nice clone the one you got there BTW

Stopped by the shop to have my exhaust crack looked at.

Nah... it isn't just cracked. The entire system is shot :frown: Rust and holes in the muffler, the pipe, the cat is sketchy, at least one manifold bolt is busted off and the rest are horribly rusted, the manifold itself is about ready to go (actually got a lot of life out of that thing), etc etc... the steel is too thin to weld. Looking at $1200 to have them replace the entire system  a fair chunk of that being labor to get the old manifold off the head and the bolts extracted. Daggone it I don't want to spend that kind of money.

I'm thinking of looking for a newer TB exhaust take-off like from a 2008 in a junkyard or something, then just having the shop replace the manifold only and I do the rest. Not sure. Until I decide what to do I'm going to live with the noise.

Oh yeah, I have small rot through spot on my frame near the cat. Easy enough to clean it up and weld a steel plate to the frame to reinforce that spot, but still...

Problems like that just make you happy and than you say thanks for the quality work when it was built :no:
Sorry about the bad luck.....

Well it is 12 years old, 193k miles, and original everything under there, been subjected to salt and crap every single winter since it was built, so it isn't like I can really complain too much I guess.

:poke: Jared, since this forum supports screen name changes, maybe you should ask the mods to change your screen name from Sparky to Rusty!! :raspberry:

Thanks. Yeah She is coming along nicely. Thinking of saving some money and painting the center console with matte black paint. Everyone seems to want a fortune for that.

Went and got the tires balanced, had them remove the sticky weights and put on the normal lead ones. Haven't had a chance to hit highway speeds to see if the wobble is gone, but feels smooth at low speeds.

Weren't we just talking about undercarriage rust prevention in some other thread and someone said they've never heard of it actually causing an issue?

awesome man, I fixed mine a few months ago with fiberglass. I looked at it, and was NOT gonna take the time to gladd all inside those little squares, plus I have a considerable hole in mine. So I glassed over the top, sanded/grinded smooth, and shot it black just because :raspberry:
can't tell a difference with the cover on now, and I'm pretty bad about putting a good bit of weight on it with my elbow, and no issues since

Mine was the same, no way for the to glue it back together then reinforce it. So I just taped a bit of fabric over the hole, and glassed right on top of it. gave it a good bit around the hole just for extra bite on the plastic (I sanded it down pretty rough before starting) and it did the trick.
$10 fix better than buying a whole new one, imo
plus, oddly, it was kinda relaxing

I have no clue what kind of weights the people used when they put on the tires my truck came with off the lot, but it left a nasty mark where it was. It was quite disappointing.

Started the Bravada for the first time in almost a week. Got to take a quick peek at the Trailblazer my father just picked up today.
So now that makes 4 GMT360/370's in the family.
My 2002 Bravada AWD
Mothers 2002 Trailblazer LTZ 4x4
Brothers 2004 Envoy SLT 4x4
Dads 2005 Trailblazer LS EXT 4x4

Hope to get a closer look at it tomorrow. It was dark when I got to see it, but I know he does not have a G80.

:iagree: Maybe a comment or two on mpgs after first tank or two? Love the exit look.

Yeah I'm curious too. I see it has 2.5" pipe and I've read stock is 2.75". Can you confirm this?

Took the TB into a mechanic shop to change a leaking transmission line (Corrosion). Told them to replace all 4 lines while in there.

$565 later I am back in action.

Side note, its been almost 6-7 years since I been to a shop. All my automotive knowledge has come from trailvoy, tbssowners, offroadtb, gmtnation, youtube, and reading.

I was under the TB looking for the leak and found it. Its one of the jobs where I could have done it but wasn't worth the big hassle for me.

seems there is a break in a wire or two, which one is for the brake light because the running light, turn signal and reverse lamp all work fine

found what I need to fix this...I hope

AC Delco PT1555 Brake Light Taillight Circuit Board Repair Plug Harness New | eBay

$56 seems high to me, but I can't think of any other way to get this new...and it's being ordered from a store in the next town over (they don't do retail)

Such is the price with uncommon or proprietary connectors, unfortunately. They can charge whatever because it's considered "custom," as it's not a plug that's ubiquitous.

the three junkyards I checked on didn't have them on the few TB's they had

guess I'll see what kind of deal (if any) I can get with RockAuto...I forgot to look there

My TB sat quietly almost 2 months. Waiting for February when I will get my transmission and engine replaced. Then my adventures will continue.

Did my LED dome light upgrade. (Pics on the LED Mod Thread) My interior is SUPER bright now, it's really amazing and the picture doesn't do it justice.

Also got my 07 and up style wiper mod done today. :wootwoot:

Yes, it's all 2.5" with a 3.5" stainless tip. I didn't measure the original pipe, as this is all new, and all fit together nicely.

Found out tonight that my auxiliary lights (hella 500ff) give me the ability to summon the batman.

Batman needs to bring his carpenter's belt, whoever decided to install the windows that way is a strange one.

Received my cree smd headlights and switchbacks. Thanks again Kevin.

Lol does that mean you put them in, or are GOING to put them in? It's called "what did you do to your 360 today", not "how was your postal service?!?!!

:rotfl::rotfl::tongue::tongue::tongue:

On a serious note, I am really considering getting these!! A couple I have been researching, and just trying to find out which will rule the roost!!
