Left the truck at the shop. Was getting tires and an alignment and the driver side tie rod is totally frozen. They had it glowing red and it still won't budge. That side has always been a pain to deal with, not sure why. So, new inner and outer rod going on tomorrow morning and I'll have it by noon.

One of my fog light bulbs was blown after my off-roading/bumper cover adventure, so I replaced them with the nice new bulbs the mail lady brought me today.

Any pics, or are you going to make me wait for the meet? :hissyfit:

Man this mod turned out awesome! For whatever reason the second go around modding the pass side light was a lot harder then the first time. I still go a ways to go to get it wired the way that I want it.

6 and a half years later and still modding.

Why not have something like a hood pin for an alarm. It word only work when open, run a wire straight from the fuse box for power. Ground the hood pin.

That's the plan....but still going to use a switch to be able to manually turn them off. And something else is going to turn on automatically when I open the hood.:undecided::biggrin:

:undecided: Hmm, the LED mod bug just cracked an eye open after getting a whiff of a potential new mod... I guess that can go on the list of things to look at after these damn headlights get done.

I still got your mod bug doings on my list! And it involves damn headlights too:wootwoot::thumbsup:

You had just as many problems as I did when I redid my suspension. I'm just glad it did not require shop time. When do we get pics of the lift?

Check the corners of your bumper too. I thought I was rubbing the bolt for the rocker panel when I would turn the wheel in reverse. Turns out it was grabbing the corner and dragging it across the treads of the tire.

However you could be fine as you are running the stock wheels with the bigger tire. Mine stick out quite a bit too though.

Are you running wheel spacers?

Then I took off the running boards since I will be putting on the 20 inch tbss wheels I got from tbowner and want to go with a different look.

Yup, 1.5" spacers. I'll check that but pretty sure it is the liner since if I reverse with the wheel cranked to the left the passenger tire grabs.

Man.....that's some miles on a stock hub, should be nice and smooth now. Doesn't look like a Timken box, what hub did you install? Reason I ask is I would like to find a hub that doesn't cost what the Timken does that actually lasts. I know that's an oxymoron as far as these are concerned but when mine crap out again I would like to save a few $$$ for sure.

I like that color with the chrome steps.

Find one with a decent warranty then when it goes bad take it back and get new. I wanted Timken but went with MOOG which should hold up pretty good. Besides I could probably get the hub off and swapped in a couple hours, barring any set backs which never seems to work for me.

Agree that color does look good with the chrome nerf bars.

A pair of hubs on ebay are 85 delivered with a lifetime warranty, however the warranty only gets you one replacement pair, but it is 4 hubs for $85. Pretty tough to beat.

Shortened my sifter and added a new knob.

Different. I would like to swap out my shifter, but the button is a bit of issue.

Apparently you have a pre-06 because we have the Stabilitrak button to contend with, but you did not fill out your profile, so we really do not know.

Filled the tank as gas prices are shooting back up again. After the roughly 10% odometer correction I got 17.8 mpg and this was with some town driving, crawling in stop and go traffic on the highway for a few miles yesterday, etc. Not going to complain given my average prior to the lift was around 18.5 or so. Didn't lose much to the lift at all! Awesome

Threw an Everstart Maxx under the hood. Last battery was about 4 years old, so I was about due anyway. Wanted to go with one of the more recommended brands, but this one was the least outside my budget for this month. :frown:

Can't remember what year he said his was ( I just met him on Thursday when I picked up the gold tbss replicas he sold me) but I do remember him telling me that he forgot about the stabilitrak when he was changing the shifter and now it's stuck in the off position because he already sold the old shifter so now he can't change it. Or something like that.

Maybe I don't get sarcasm but his username is "05tbowner" So I would assume he owns a 2005 Trailblazer.

Belltech rear coil owners, why is my pass side spring walking out and starts to clunk, have re adjusted and made sure it is seated multiple times. It hasn't even really driven just test drives down the street and back! driver side perfect not a single issue.

Maybe that's what my fucking problem is, I was thinking my end links were clunking this whole time. Guess I'll know tomorrow when I replace them.

Pulled every wheel, retorqued the spacers, reinstalled the wheels, and took it for a drive. Annoying vibration at highway speeds is GONE :wootwoot:

I have the Blox for Del Sol's on there currently, but yea I jumped on that Suspension Maxx group buy. Had to modify the links and buy shorter bolts, hoping it fixes my issue tomorrow.

Went from a 7" bolt through the middle to a 4" bolt. Would have bought a 4.5" if the hardware store I went to had any. I was only planning on removing the sleeve but the 4" bolt was still too short, so I left out 2 of the moon washers and trimmed two of the rubber isolators a tiny bit to get enough clearance for the nut to at least thread all the way onto the bolt.

Have you tried putting the pass side on the driver's side ? Could help figure out if it is the truck or the specific coilover. You would think the driver side would seat properly on pass side if it did so already on driver side :undecided:

Was in the area of my GMC dealership so I asked if they could do it while I waited. They said yes and it took about 1 1/2 hrs... PUZZLED AS TO WHY IT TOOK THAT LONG,I THOUGHT THEY WOULD JUST POP IT OUT AND POP IN A NEW ASSEMBLY BUT,THERE SEEMED TO BE ALOT OF BENCH WORK FROM MY VANTAGE POINT.MIGHT BE THE MEMBRANE THAT THEY SUPPOSIDLY INSTALL :undecided:

I took the plunge and did the resonator delete. $22 bucks in parts, 90 degree bend pipe and an adapter for the oem pipe to go from 2 and 3/4 to 2 and 1/2 because they didn't have the 90 degree bend in 2 3/4 size. $35 for the cutting off of the resonator and the welding of the new pipe in place. The 90 degree bend I picked up didn't reach out past the bumper so I went back to the store where I picked up the pipe from and got a bolt on tip and a can of 500 degree black paint. Ill post pictures later on. A word of advice for those who plan to do this, wait for the exhaust pipe to cool off before you paint it! Unless you are ok painting multiple coats on the pipe. I have not noticed any change in noise since the delete, but that might be due to the fact that when I took the resonator off and banged it on the ground, burnt rusty metal pieces the size of bacon bits poured out of it...I am proud of it, but I am in the market for a weld on tip, in a Y style tip like the corsa 14030 style, however I don't want to break the wallet and I would prefer it in black.

As much as I would like to put a weld on tip on, I am fine with the bolt on. This way I can change it at any time either due to corrosion, bored of look etc. However weld on does look a whole lot cleaner.
