One of the thermostat housing bolts. Sheared off flat. I would have done it myself but don't have all my tools here yet. Still being shipped from Texas.

Not in Seattle for 30 minutes and get pulled over with a TBss. Prolly shouldn't have messed around at 100 ha. -_- cops ruin all the fun

Luckily I have one of those tire plug kits handy, so this morning I broke out the tools and pulled it out.
After cleaning the puncture up a bit, I tried inserting one of the plugs, but the damn handle broke off. Damn Harbor FAIL!!
The tire completely depressurized, which made it much more fun. Ended up using the head of my channel locks to push down on the snapped off tool and eventually got the plug inserted. Waited a little while for the rubber cement to do it's thing, filled the tire with the (weak) air compressor on my battery booster, then went for a drive. It seems to be holding now, I'll check the pressure again later after the tires cool off.

Seriously, I've had my Envoy since 9/16/2002 and never had a tire problem until the last two months. One screw and one nail. Thankfully neither went in deep enough to cause a leak.
Showtyme said:Two days ago I noticed my drivers rear tire low and found a nail in it. Took it to walmart (this is the only thing I will have done at walmart service wise) and got it plugged for $9.50. Cheapest place around here for tire repairs.
It has been so long since it's gone to the right, maybe it forgot where to stop.Short Bus said:I didn't know the fuel gauge went that far to the right
I'm just excited that I won't be using my trip meter as my fuel gauge anymore!Wishbone said:... But the thrill doesn't last long...

Not sure why standard brake work makes a truck high-maintanence
Why would you think that the tools would rust or mildew? That garage is 10 times nicer than mine and I never have any issues of the sort. I guess if i threw tools on the ground by the garage door where water seeps in in hard rains i could have issues, but that garage makes me jealous.
