So my noisy wheel bearing is no more. It use to be loud and when I turned towards left the noise would increase turning right it would fade away. The driver side did end up to be the noisy one. So I got both new hubs installed and had zero issues, everything came apart real easy.

I'm doing mine tomorrow.

It's going to be raining all the way up until NEXT weekend, so shampooing the carpet's in the Envoy has to wait a little bit longer. I knew I should have done it with the 2 days of 80 degree temps we had last week. :hissyfit:

On a second note...Someone hit me when I was either at my job interview or at the gas station. I have nice green and white scrape/rub marks behind the driver side passenger door. It will buff out, but it still pisses me off. AND someone took something to the hood and scraped it all to shit as well. Not pointing fingers, but I think I have a feeling who did it, but without evidence an ass whooping just wouldn't be justified. Got to take the boy back in to the painter so he can buff a few imperfections out and work on fixing the orange peel the best he can, I'm not too concerned over it, at least my peeling clear coat is gone and my front fender is fixed.

Today I am gonna rotate the tires and maybe give it a bath. Been dirty since October. Still have mud from VA in the wheels.

Debating on peeling the plastidip off the hood.

That sucks. It's like some dirtbags look for the freshly painted vehicles. Not even the brand new cars half the time, but a little older ones that the owners are trying to take care of. Makes me even angrier

You're more calm about it than I am, and it is your vehicle, not mine

It's one of those mods where once you do it, you will try to figure out why you waited so long. So small and simple, but every time you open your hood it's magic hahaha

well i had my truck towed yesterday to the the dealership the ignition was pooched could not turn the key at all. rick my friend there told me it is the ignition cylinder so there ordered a new one and it should be done tomorrow. sucked that i could not fix it myself all because the keys need to be re-programed

I think GM chipped keys have a "+" sign on them...

Yup bought them a little over a year ago, wish I would have done it sooner. Probably my favorite part was telling another GMT 360 owner (blue TBSS) to open my hood. I had to tell him to close it and open it again before he even realized the shocks were there. Such a small improvement but it makes opening the hood effortless, and with that turbo kit I know you'll be popping your hood pretty often haha

I didn't realize the SS also came with the clear / tinted side mirror covers. How much did you spend on them? I broke one of mine trying to take it apart without knowing that I had to move the mirror and it's held in with hot glue right now hahaha. Kind of sags, been meaning to buy a new one.

yea they do.. I got them from the dealership my father works at.. so I get his discount (basically GM OEM parts at cost).. so I paid $44 a piece for them... you can find them on ebay though for roughly $45, but then you have to pay shipping... so I just went to the dealer...

Today I gave it a bath, vacuumed the interior and scotch-guarded seats and carpet. That was all to kill time while I let the engine cool down. Then I cleaned the MAF and TB. I also changed all spark plugs over to denso iridium. I feel like I'm driving a brand new truck! :wootwoot:

With all of the appearance mods I've done to the SS and the 'Hoe, I can't believe I still haven't done this one. I guess it's because I have such a hard time justifying spending that much money on two pieces of plastic. :blinkhuh: :duh:

Yea that's about the price I remember, I think that's why I didn't buy it at the time. I'll probably pick one up over summer. My mom used to work at the GMC / Cadillac dealership that I bought my Envoy from and I know all the parts guys so I also get stuff at cost lol. Like the Denali bumper I bought to shave. Retail is $950, I got it for $611 haha

Took the Voy to the car wash but still needed to spend time getting bugs and road grime off of it. Also I have a 3M headlight restoration kit but decided not to do all the sanding on the headlights. Instead I used the foam polisher and polishing compound and removed most of the haze.

Now to wash the Weathertech floor mats. Maybe shampoo the carpet in there too.

Gave the Trailblazer a visual inspection. Seemed like there is some pitting going on my headlights, and im not sure if its on the inside or outside. My headlights are not hazy one bit.

And washed the Silverado. That one really really really needs a vacuuming. Don't know if I'll get to it tomorrow.

Now which one will show up at the New Castle meet?

today (tonight) on the way home from work, I was pulled over and was told that "I didn't dim my headlights for oncoming traffic" being the smartass that I am, my response was "those WERE my low beams, sir" :duh:
after being "asked" to join the trooper in the car, when I saw his face in the light I started laughing and asked him why I hadn't seen him at the gym in a while. :rotfl: he said "man it's been a while, I didn't even recognize you...and those lights are BRIGHT!! Go home, and get your truck inspected!" :wootwoot:
moral of this story, when you workout with cops at the gym, ALWAYS offer a spot

Yesterday I got all the emergency lights re-installed and working in the Trailblazer. Modified the siren switches to run air horn only, and got them re-wired and installed again. Wired up the camera too.

Was a good day

My wife and I were admiring a F-250 6.2L Powerstroke with a very similar front bumper. The owners caught us. His step rail was the height of the Silverado's floor.

Put protectant on the Silverado's bed cover. Still need to vacuum but also need to do some amateur radio antenna work.
