Have you changed bulbs in them? If you haven't, put a normal 3157 bulb in and see if it blows the fuse...if it does, it's SRCK.

Standard bulbs won't blow fuses on an SRCK socket. LED bulbs will however.

Anyway some good news on the truck, the part is on order and should be in tomorrow. Finally... Even with a second car being without the truck sucks!

Got my truck back! No more coolant leak, no more blowing fuses to the PCM/fuel pump, and a good report on my transfer case :wootwoot: My wallet is a little lighter now but hopefully this is it for a while. PS pump and lines will need done next year sometime but they're OK for the time being.

Had the front and rear differential fluid changed along with a pinion seal (151,000 kms). So that regular maintenance is now out of the way for a while. I can also now eliminate the front differential as a source of my leak.

Went to the local audio shop and got a new brain/module for my alarm. It didn't cost anything. I guess they reported to PYTHON that i had a defected one, which is true. It seemed to be about every 2 months that the brain would stop communicating with my TB. The remote start wouldn't work, and I would have to hit the unlock button on the remote and open the doors with the key. Then when i got out would have to key lock the doors and hit the lock button on the remote. Aside from all that hassle, apparently if the doors were popped the alarm wouldn't have recognized it. Hopefully the new brain is A-OK!

Anybody else have a PYTHON and had this happen?? The installer was telling me that he did hear about some issues a while back that they were having with GM's. My alarm is just about 2 years old, so it probably coulda fell into that timeframe....

I was pretty sure my exhaust manifold was cracked after the sound it was making...so today I tore out the manifold heat-shield and then confirmed my hypothesis.

But now I guess is the best time since I was planning on a new one anyway for the build

I also am 90% done with relocating the battery to the inside of the voy where the rear seats used to be. PICS TO FOLLOW on monday so it did happen
I just have to ground the battery and the negative that was up front. I used 1/0 ga welding wire made in the USA and a 250 amp inline fuse and a summit battery box

I relocated the battery to the rear successfully.
I also relocated the horns to the side so the intercooler piping will fit coming up from the front when its time.

(Waiting for summit racing to ship me the battery box lid, they forgot to ship it with the box )

I know I haven't been around a lot lately, work keeping me non-stop busy. Man I need a V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N!!!!

A couple of months ago I found myself having to drive across mid-town Mahnatten, something I avoided even when I lived up on Long Island. Well, let's just say the PCM for Less tune was very handy. It let me get into those openings quickly. I think I surprised a few people that the Voy moved as quick as it did.

I got a couple of codes the other night. One of them was the fan clutch code. Which is interesting has i havnt had one of those for the last 4 years....

oh and my bank a cam shaft sensor had a malfunction. was only a pending code, it disappeared. My guess is that is why my engine died out at a stop light twice.

Check fuse in the back of radio? My sony one has one in the back. Make sure faceplate is secure and did you try holding the source button? I know theres some auto off functions and what not so maybe the radio "dropped" its marbles

Checked the fuse in the back of the radio today (JUST got to it, since we have had 3 days without rain since before Thanksgiving). Fuse is intact, but still not getting any power to the unit. When I pull the fuse/wire harness, then plug them back in - if I push the eject button, you can hear the radio attempting to eject the CD, but other than that, nothing else is happening. Thinking that its probably dead :frown: Just bought a new one for the fiancee's car for Christmas, so it'll probably be awhile before I get myself a new one. Should be able to just use all the existing connectors for a new one right? Just plug the existing harness and FM adapter in?

Got the Treadwright Pumas installed this morning. 245/70/17 All are BFG Rugged Trail carcases. As soon as I left the tire shop, first thing I noticed is you can feel the difference in ride height when you get in, not by much but it is there, I look at the truck everyday and I can see it a little bit. The tires ride alot more rough than the All-Season Touring tires that were on it. I hope my Treadwrights treat me the same way I have read others have been treated by their tires.:wootwoot:

Installed a small toggle switch in my radio stack for the parking brake signal for my HU. Probably would have been easier if I got a circular one, but this one was under $1...

IMAG0471.jpg

While I was doing that, I noticed something in the passenger speaker grille... :duh: I thought the speaker was blown, and that's why it sounded crappy, but it turns out the parking light signal running to the mirror harness in the PDM (for the mirror switchbacks) had come loose somehow, and dangled down into the speaker cone, which resonated with the mid-bass... After being re-zip tied, all is right in my audio world (for now)

Engine mounts had to go, felt like a roller coaster while stopped in drive. Replaced driver and passenger sides. Definitely a good idea to remove the fan shroud bolts, removed the map sensor too so I could jack the engine up a little more. Its not mine anymore but my daughter will hopefully get another 100k miles from the truck.

loll I worked on it for a good 30 mins and said forget it after. I had a filer wrench or something like that, and that didn't help either because it wouldn't fit in that small slot they give you to get to the filter.

Take off the entire skid panel, its only 4 bolts. Actually just take out the front 2 and the right rear. Loosen the left rear and rotate the plate towards the rear and you will have a lot mor room to work. Also a filter end wrench cap works well.

I think May03LT has a video of the process on YouTube.

Took my truck for a full check up after driving her around for a week after the major service I did just to make sure all was ok. Thankfully all turned out great but didn't last long lol! On my way back to the office and got the AC on 10 mins later warm air starts coming out

Off, on, off, on and nothing. Turn the ignition off and then on, AC works like a charm again. I changed the bearing and clutch last month so can't be that. I also filled her up with refrigerant couple of months ago and there was no leak but will double check it tonight. Anyways going through the threads I found this one.

which took me to this thanks to Roadie

Replaced the passengers side load resistor yesterday. The aluminium heat shrink was corroded and split open exposing the resistor itself which then corroded giving me hyperflash.

Today, I'm doing an oil change on my TB and her Rav4.

Glass mount is still there... metal clip just let go of the mount? I did that on my old car once trying to adjust it farther than it could adjust (working on the dash and it was in the way). Thought I totally busted it at first until I realized the mirror just clipped on the metal tab on the glass.

Happened to me 2 years ago, but it was a victim of my sound system haha. As you can see not only is the glass mount still there, the mount from the mirror is also there. I broke that little ball joint type connection that swivels. The metal broke in two =/
