I've already done my job-ly duty for the day. Going back in tomorrow at 7AM, sigh.

I'm sure you techies would enjoy this one - my computer today at work wasn't working correctly. You know the kind, still a CRT monitor and running Windows XP so what do you expect? There's three USB devices on it - a wireless dongle, the mouse, and a barcode scanner (keyboard uses PS/2). The mouse was acting up and making Windows whiz itself giving a bubble in the corner whining about the problem, which of course couldn't be dismissed because it was the mouse doing it.

So the IT guy shows up, takes a look, says he wants to shoot it. Goes back up to the front office, comes back out, fixes it, then pulls out A FIFTY-CALIBER BMG ROUND and goes, "Yep, this'd put a fine hole in this piece of crap." It would indeed, Mr. Suddenly The Coolest IT Guy I've Ever Had At A Job With Me. Showed me a picture of the rifle he's got, too. :yes:

Went to Burger Monger for lunch with some of the fellas from work. Pretty damn tasty, but for a $7 burger, definitely won't make that a regular spot to go to. :no:

Enjoying Friday off. Have to work Saturday for some overtime. Luckily my boss just hired another supervisor, hopefully this is my last weekend to work :yes:

Kids are playing outside and the neighbor's kid comes over. After being on the swingset for an hour, they came in to ask if we had any flower pots. I said there are a few in the garage and I asked why they needed them. They said we want to plant seeds. I said what seeds? They said their friend had some carrots and they wanted to try to plant them.

I figured no worries and I could help them. After about 30 minutes my daughter came in and was exclaiming.... "Come here..look, we planted some carrots and corn!"

I thought cool, not sure how they planned on corn growing in a small pot but she also said...." We put the corn by the fence".

I asked....."Where's the flower pots?" She also said they put the watermelon by the gate. :eek:

I said the back yard is not a flower pot.

So my future preppers have given me corn stalks, watermelon, carrots, whatever, spread out through my backyard. :crazy:

I told them to dig them up and we can plant them somewhere more appropriate. She said we don't know where they are. :smile:

Reminds me of in high school when a few of the FFA guys snuck onto the football field one night and planted almost the entire thing in corn. Nobody knew until they saw the odd sprouts in the field, talk about one angry coach... :dielaugh:

ing before getting ready for work tonight. The drive in is going to be awesome. Although my road outside the house appears to be clear since we have had high temps this week. Hopefully none of the snow sticks.

Its crazy, it has been snowing for hours in Martinsburg, WV and as soon as I crossed the state line the snow stopped. Not one bit of snow here in Hagerstown, MD. That is only 26 miles North :crazy:

Same thing to report here in Motown, wasn't snowing here at all, but was snowing to the South and East where I came from. Dad says that since I left home at 3ish when there was no snow the snow has accumulated now to almost 5". Here it just did start to snow maybe 45 minutes ago and we have maybe 1-2" already. :crazy:

Snow day here. We actually got the day off! :biggrin:

Ended up getting around 7".

Overhauling a computer, and debating going out and shoveling..at least the sidewalk.
Oh...and making more coffee...
