I agree, I just need to convince her of this. Maybe once it warms up more I can take them out and do it myself. A little surprise for her.

Looks good! I do think some stain would really make it look good though, just gotta find a color to compliment the blocks, then of course some polyurethane and then steel wool, then the finish coat. Dang I miss woodworking...

Technically it is the wife's project. I am just her manual labor haha. I am trying to convince her to stain them.

Everything looks rustic except the light tone of the wood. Staining it would be a great idea.

Vinegar & Steel Wool stain would look good.

Long weekend so catching up on email and the dvr

With that mega diet, he hasn't energy enough to claim the required.... fees. :rotfl:

I fixed my roommates Dodge Dakota today, I think. They had a problem like it was turning over but not firing, then they got it jumped and decided hey, let's drive to a city 20 minutes away with it, where it ended up dying completely and needed to be towed.

Alternator and battery both checked out. My diagnosis during teardown and rebuild is either excess negative terminal corrosion, or loose negative terminal. I have the nut cranked as tight as it will go and I can still turn the ring around the post with only rather moderate force applied.

Now it's running cranky from sitting there for like 5 months :rotfl: can't expect much for a car under $2000 around here though.

What kind of finish does that method produce? Rustic?

Start of another wonderful work week. Getting some OT this coming weekend.

Well after heading to Lowes twice, I think the new bookshelf actually came out looking pretty good. She is still on the fence about staining the wood. I think it would look better.

I bet she will wait and load it full of books then decide to stain it.

Looks interesting, now my mouth is watering for a steak. I noticed in the instructable, the writer used the wrong side s of the receptacle for his neutral and hot wires though.

Are you talking about his hand drawn picture? He has it attached to the plug correctly. He doesn't have any photos of it attached to the C14 receptacle, and his hand drawn picture doesn't say if he's looking at it from the front or back. Don't worry; I did it the right way. :raspberry:

Work then darts tonight.

Install the new Brakemotive brakes on the MX-5, and hopefully get the stereo finished in the Bravada.
Since it is supposed to be 60 today, the Wife and I may take the dog for a long walk and probably enjoy the top downess of the Mazda.

Working

Getting ready for a relaxing evening after this horrid day at work.

Took the day off, was up till 7 this morning with things I wont describe. Just woke up a little while ago, still feel like death.

So today is a troll the internet type of day.

Seen the request you sent and accepted it, will be reading it after shift.

Little Fast N Loud

Going to bed. Stayed up too late wandering the site again :rotfl:

Get a free steak dinner at work today for the safety streak. Apparently 180 days is the longest day shift has ever gone at my plant without an accident so far (get the steak for every 60). And the plant's been around a while. Current safety streak for my line is 2465 days  at least it wasn't us messing up the steak dinner!

Working in the field so lil net time

Dreading the snow in the morning after 72 degrees today

:thumbsup:Safety first. My drive to work was a doozy with the winds moving my Impala like it was nothing. I am sure she would rather see you leter safe than in a hospital or something.

Ya that is what we decided. Stay home and go another day. It is about a 5hr drive to where she is in university

Delivering Pizza as usual
