Running some errands and dropping off DarkRider's care package in the mail. Surprisingly, I did not get taken for the extra fondling fees for customs.

Later, we are heading to the Jeep dealership. On the way home the wife seen a white 2014 Jeep Rubicon parked out front. It appears to be exactly what she is looking for. Hard top that is colored matched, automatic trans, and lifted with wheels and tires. I am hoping it does not have the red leather seats as this was a turn off for her on the last Rubicon we looked at.

Hope the Jeep ends up being what she wants, red leather just sounds horrible! Tan or black I could see, but red? My Uncle had a Rubicon that I really liked, I think it was an 06. He had the hard top that was black, but he also had the bikini top kit for it that he used in summer. Now he drives a (Roadie's gonna reach through the internet and throw something at me  ) Liberty.

The Roadie has a Rubicon sticker, but as he said, it was earned, not given.

The red leather seats were on the 10th Anniversary edition of the Rubicon. It was supposed to tie in with the red stitching, red "Rubicon" sticker, red tow hooks, parts of the winch was red, and skid plates/bars.

She wants a premium soft top as well for the summer and use the hard top for the winter. I think the soft top is around $1,500, but cheaper than buying a color matched hard top. From the road it looked exactly like what we have been looking for. We just need to check out the interior to make sure it is black and double check to make sure it has an automatic trans.

Just got back from a car show at the Ritzie part of town. Saw several Lambo's, a Maybach, several Porsche's, and a lot of American Muscle including new Corvette Stingray. One car I wanted to talk to the owner about but he was nowhere to be found was a 70 something Corvette that had an all electric motor. It needed a lot of work but the battery config was interesting. Now to relax the rest of the day. May go grocery shopping later.

Formatting about 30 HDDs from an institution, so basically about 2 mouse clicks and watching TV in between runs, not a bad way to earn 400bux from the couch.

Babysitting. I've been instilling a love of trains in my roommates' two-year-old :rotfl:

But now we're watching Sonic the Hedgehog on Netflix.

Cool! You wouldn't happen to know the guy in Roadie's avatar would you? :rotfl: Carry the train theme through the whole evening, ditch Sonic and Tails and Netflix that kid some Thomas the Tank Engine.

On topic - just finished putting together the new 4 ton floor jack for the shop. The old one's been around since I was a kid - it's slowly dying and today we got one at Harbor Freight. I know, I know, it's the Chinese Hardware Store, but they also carry the Pittsburgh Automotive floor jack we bought that has the best reviews I can find online of any jack that's available around here. I have to say, so far I'm impressed with it, I test-jacked the Voy to try it out and it's a vast improvement over the old one.

Here's the specs and such for those who might be interested: 4 ton Heavy Duty Floor Jack with Rapid Pump®

We've already watched all 26 shows of Thomas they have on there a lot. And Curious George too many times to count. And now we're watching Cars: Mater's Tall Tales. Cars and trains man, either way works for me :rotfl:

+1 for trains, hilariously on my youtube channel the video I randomly took of a train passing us has way more views than any of my storm chasing ones. :rotfl:

Went and visited my friend who is back from Bahrain, stayed for a few hours and will try and meet up before he heads out west. He picked up a Z71 Suburban. It is his first domestic and he wanted a Chevy. Truck is nice, and the Trailblazer still resides in my driveway.

Now waiting on the pending doom. Forecast is now up to 10-14" of snow which for this area is epic snow.

:tiphat: had about 2" of sleet, ice and crap before it turned to snow so the roads are pretty bad. They just told us not to come in to work, they cancelled day shift and mid shift around 7 yesterday. So after some quick last minute prep it's time for some Battlefield.

Got myself a new camera lens and now I think Im going to upgrade cameras soon enough, had a huge project idea for the summer I think everyone here will love a car video that's not taken with an iPhone with wind noise on the highways, actual production. There should be some vettes involved as well.

All you need is your truck in the photo and you could post it in the Photo Contest #24. :raspberry:

Winter storm Titan did $hit on us pretty good. For as much state tax as I pay in WV, you would think they would take better care of the roads. I left for work tonight and assumed the roads were going to be clear, not a chance. It was not until I crossed the stateline into Maryland, who takes better care of the roads.

Hopefully this is the last snow for us this winter.

Realized it is now March4th but it still feels like mid January. No kidding. I just want my own bones to thaw out. If the lows hit 20F I'd be happy. The snow is still deep. Soon.

Dmanns assumed? :nono:

Clear roads...100times better? :uhno:

:raspberry: Mallcruiser.

My TB made it home through 20" of snow. This mall cruiser can make it anywhere :raspberry:

I just hate being on the roads with all of the other idiots who act like it is their first time driving.
