Somehow, I managed to lose my tape measure after my last round of projector adjustments. For the life of me, I can't remember where I put it, so I stumbled across this at the perfect time to go with the ratcheting wrenches I picked up.

I have a bunch of random screw drivers scattered everywhere. Couple in my tool box, one in my electronics/soldering component box, another in the living room coffee table drawer (where I do most of my tinkering) They tend to float and rotate depending on what I'm doing and when, and it never fails that when I need one of them specifically, or more than 1, it's not where I'm at.

You're only supposed to get one freebie, but the lady at the counter was cool, and tossed in the other one for me

Stopped at Autozone on the way home to pick up a couple rolls of shop towels and got messed with, by the girls behind the counter. I knew the price would be just under $5, so as one of them is ringing it up, I'm pulling out some singles. She turns and says to me, with a straight face, "That'll be $17.29 please..." I guess the look(s) on my face resembled :uhno: and caused both of them to  Glad I could brighten someone's day a little bit...

Lol. I try to keep my tools consolidated. I don't have a very large assortment of drivers myself. A stubby philips and straight, couple "regular" size of each, and a couple long straight. And literally tons of those stupid bits that you use with the adapter on a ratchet

Inside my master box is a lot of my "loose-pack" stuff, my multimeters, torque wrench, assorted tools, a bunch of fasteners for around the house, a drill, some extensions and universal joints and adapters...

Then I have another case that's a large socket set, along with some allen wrenches, and then another smaller case that's a decent assortment of wrenches. And somewhere around here is a small case with electrical connectors, zip ties, velcro ties and some alligator-lead wire.

I'd like to get a larger box preferably with drawers so I can sort it out and have it all in one box, I mall-crawled the Stanley ones at WalMart but at the time didn't have the $80 or so to get their smaller one (which is big enough for me). I'll get to it sometime though.

3 more ! we can do it !

It would have been 2 more semesters for me, but I took the minimum full time student credits. So right now I'm stacking all my law classes, criminal justice, and police administration classes

I took 12 credit hours a semester and worked 50 hours construction a week to get my Bachelors. Just get your degree. It is amazing the doors it opens even if you never use it for what it is in.

Hopefully my criminal justice degree won't just be a piece of paper in 2 years. Lolol

At my high i worked 40+ a week. 18 credit hours and went to school 7 days a week. That was a fun semester. But I do need to figure out a way to get back into school and get my bachelors.

I thought Business Management would apply about anywhere, but I do Right of Way Real Estate and Commercial Real Estate. My degree is just good for advancing my license.

Now you can't hardly be a RE Appriaser without a college degree.

It's fun to read through the HELP! threads and see how many answers are either wrong, or explain something in a ridiculous fashion. Like "the CPAS pushes on the timing chain to adjust the exhaust cam." - Actual thing I've seen over there.

Oh and lookie here, someone posts a transmission problem in the Site Issues forum, then responds to it and says sorry I might have misplaced this, please move it mods. Hasn't moved, no responses. Been sitting there seven days.

Im silvernclean there.

I'm just wandering not logged in. If I do log in, it's usually to point people over here. My method is to tell people to Google the phrase nation of GMT to find the real resources.

Googling TrailBlazer forum unfortunately still brings up the old site as the top hit (actually two hits, www. and forum. ), but at least offroadtb shows up on the first page. We'll get this one up there sometime.

Oh, here's another gem: "Because the v8 version is all wheel drive, i6 is true 4 wheel drive. Get in deep sand, all wheel drive you will get stuck, 4 wheel drive you wont." I think they're confusing the SS.

(my apologies for this not being within the last few hours)

I saw a 2-car accident yesterday afternoon happen maybe 10 feet away, not only did I hear it, but I could feel the impact in the middle of the intersection...got out and helped as best as I could. The red suv engine started to catch fire and I assisted the driver away from his car (he was already out of the seat), the driver of the Chevy Volt (an elderly gentleman) called me over to his car...his car was hit in the passenger side rear and had skipped around like it was a rock on a pond across the median on my right...he complained of his leg hurting and I told him to just stay seated...he put his hand on my shoulder, looked at my ID badge and my 'US Army - Camp Adder' shirt and asked, "you're not going to leave are you?" I told him no. He asked, "were you a Sergeant?" to which I replied "yes". A KCPD detective pulled up and then the FD was coming on scene shortly there after. The detective said I didn't have to stay if I wasn't a passenger or involved. I said my truck is blocking the lane so people don't hit this guy. The FD asked me to move and I left.

I look back at being in Iraq as a learning experience and think about the people that tend to this stuff everyday here at home. Firefighters, nurses, doctors, police, even servicemembers...were all doing something for everyone else at one time or another without asking thanks.

I hugged my wife last night and quieltly thanked myself for not being in that lane at that moment. I love doing things for her and I like it when she relies on me. I don't want to lose those feelings.
