I got a son. He and momma doing great!

As I said earlier. Congrats brother.

can't top having a baby boy (congrats)

but having an antique/garage sale today...brr, sun isn't warm enough

Congrats Kyle!

As for me, ran some errands this morning, and decided to see if I could clean up my (backup) headlights a bit just for the hell of it. Didn't want to buy new sand paper for my 3M kit that uses the drill, but wanted a cheap alternative. I saw that Blue Magic carries a restore product that seemed to have a lot of good reviews, and it was only $5, so I decided to try it.

Mine had the yellow haze starting at the top, and kinda working it's way down.

Just apply some of it with a polishing cloth (clean, obviously) and work it around. Afterwards, wipe/buff it off, and see how it turns out. The directions say, if you have a bad case, to reapply. Here's mine after 1 pass...

This one still had a little residue leftover

But this one looks 100% better IMO

Congrats Kyle.

I used the Maguire's kit with the polishing pad and sand paper. It worked okay on the truck, but excellent on the Jetta. Its what made me want new head lights.

Any idea why it worked better on the jetta ?

Not sure, the Jetta ones had some really bad yellowing and hazing, the trucks were not as bad. The Jetta's looked almost new when I was done, the trucks looked clearer but not a difference like the Jetta.

Had another person low ball the crap out of me, his offer was about half of my asking price. When I cam back with what I think and I am sure others would agree is a fair price he gets defensive and says he can wheel spacers for cheap on eBay, and he could get tires for $390 shipped. Im really thinking about just listing the spacers on here and putting the tires on my 1500 wheels. Its no like I need them gone, just do not see my self putting the OEM wheels back on at this point.

Congrats man! Great day to be born. What have you guys named little Trailz?

I replaced the radiator fan on my brother's PT cruiser this afternoon. the motor randomly went open circuit on him yesterday and he overheated. New fan and all is well.

Apparently it is a fairly common failure on those things. Common enough that the local Autozone carries an exact replacement part lol.

holding him and watching football today. He is 30-some hours old, so he is allowed to sleep on the beard too.

They

are both doing amazing and they got to come home after only 32 hours!

Just signed seller's offer on a house. I lowballed him twice and he came down to what our "win" price was before I asked. He could have gotten more.

Congrats Player.

Thanks I really hope it closes smoothly. We've been so picky that 2 1/2 years later we find one that we come to terms with. Shed too lol

My mod bug is starting to itch...so busy on the net all day looking up chit to do.

Took my new to me Maxima in for an oil change, How ridiculous is this? Bought it in June and only put about 1200 km's on so far. The dumb ass after market warranty (30 month unlimited mileage) states to maintain the warranty the oil has to be changed every 4 months or 6000 km's whichever comes first, period. Gotta fill out a card and send in with an invoice copy as proof. So 1200 km's and I'm changing good oil, not very environmentally friendly :frown:. And it ain't just dino oil either it's Nissan's ester oil, $2 more a liter than full synthetic. The oil change (5 liter) cost me $113

Probably bought it to fix up, then either couldn't find 9-7x parts or was sticker shocked, so took the cheaper route instead :rotfl:
