Loaded up the Ext with my beach gear...

And hit up Clearwater beach for a few hours of people watching. Got my canopy and chair setup, weather is in the low 80s, nice breeze off the water. Got here at 9:30 and all the lots were already full  luckily I had $4 in quarters and found a nice spot on the street with a meter.

Even Mickey mouse showed up! Lol

Probably fixing up and filling the Saab's A/C and then driving to the Rogers store to return a cable box so that I can use a PVR box I bought for $50 at a garage sale yesterday. Saving $13/month box rental and it's a PVR. F*** yeah!

Got a little home-work done this morning. Installed an adjustable shower arm extension, I've had enough of the shower head being at face level

Had a pair of wall mount/remote control ceiling fan controllers sitting on the shelf, so went to install one in the living room. Went to test the remote before installing the wall switch, but as soon as I turned on the existing switch "POP!" Whoops, the receiver did not like getting a PWM signal from the old dimmer switch, so it's dead. :Banghead: Swapped in the 2nd unit, and did the wall switch too. Tests were mostly successful, the lights don't dim like they're supposed to, but I can live with that. Gonna try to exchange the dead one with the eBay seller.

Now taking a break on the couch was looking out the patio window when I saw something long and black start sliding down from the screened in patio roof. It was a black snake, chasing a gecko. It fell to the ground, traversed the pavers to a bundle of trees, and chased it up into the branches. Kinda cool to watch. As I started typing this post, I saw the snake at the base of my patio again, but when I tried to sneak up for a pic, he was gone. There's a gap under the patio slab, so I assume he's living under there.

Ordered another AC Delco ignition switch... been procrastinating on replacing this faulty one for 2 months. I'll probably order another next week as a preemptive backup for this one...

This is my life today.

This was not in my plans for the day but we gotta do what we gotta do.

After enjoying my 3.5 day weekend, I come in today to find a new staff member started today, but no notification was sent out. So I get her and her supervisor walk up to my desk requesting a license for system access and a training session. Good thing for them I had an open day today.

Now, finishing up lunch and about to see what I missed all morning.

Brought home the second half of a heavy ass desk I won in a raffle from work. Mis-measured both pieces, so the smaller half, I was able to bring through the kitchen and garage without issue. This second, larger piece was just able to squeeze through the garage door, and too big to fit through the kitchen doorway :hissyfit:

Back through the garage, and through the front door. Shirt was soaked at this point from fighting with all the weight. But finally got my back bedroom looking more like an office. You can see the white paint on the left edge, from a lost battle with a door jamb.

The old TV will be donated somewhere, and I'll be rotating my stock down. So the 32" I have in my bedroom now, will eventually be wall mounted, as will the blue storage bin with all my electrical goodies. Soldering station and all those tools will be setup in this open area, and the desk will be pushed into that far corner.

@kurupt was heading to Orlando to pick up some Disney tickets, so I tagged along so we could get some Giordano's deep dish pizza. Also went and saw Wonder Woman in IMAX (damn! is all I can say). After that swung by and checked in on @24v 4.2 to make sure he's still alive over there :poke:

Now we're back in Tampa, at BWW watching UFC and waiting for @saze to show up.

Gave up chasing a ground or power issue to one of my LED mods for today, so now I'm at Steak N' Shake eating way too much with the woman.

Dude I want some of that for lunch, it looks amazing.

I'm just working today. Working main job, working an evening gig tonight, though I'm not all that enthused about it. Just one of those things that takes time that I really don't want to take!

On my lunch break, thinking about how I'm gonna tackle cleaning out my shed from all the crap that was left behind so I can actually use it.

With all the rain we've gotten, the weeds... Err, I mean grass... Has woken from the dead, so either this weekend or next I'll need to have lawn tools at the ready. Would be nice to not have to store them in the garage.
