Got a little home-work done this morning. Installed an adjustable shower arm extension, I've had enough of the shower head being at face level
Had a pair of wall mount/remote control ceiling fan controllers sitting on the shelf, so went to install one in the living room. Went to test the remote before installing the wall switch, but as soon as I turned on the existing switch "POP!" Whoops, the receiver did not like getting a PWM signal from the old dimmer switch, so it's dead.
Swapped in the 2nd unit, and did the wall switch too. Tests were mostly successful, the lights don't dim like they're supposed to, but I can live with that. Gonna try to exchange the dead one with the eBay seller.
Now taking a break on the couch was looking out the patio window when I saw something long and black start sliding down from the screened in patio roof. It was a black snake, chasing a gecko. It fell to the ground, traversed the pavers to a bundle of trees, and chased it up into the branches. Kinda cool to watch. As I started typing this post, I saw the snake at the base of my patio again, but when I tried to sneak up for a pic, he was gone. There's a gap under the patio slab, so I assume he's living under there.
