Getting off work in about an hour, then sleep, then up to a friends property to hang out for a bit. Tomorrow, fishing the big lake (Lake Superior) in the morning, then yard work and some work on the trailblazer (oil change, rear brakes, touch up the rust forming on the bottom of the doors)

Taking my son to his last golf lesson in this series, then dropping him off at his Grandparents and playing 18 holes myself. Graduation party 2 door up from home tonight.

ETA: Sons golf lesson was cancelled but I'm still playing.

Working this morning, then heading over to my dad's house to ride some 4 wheelers. My son has a little 12V battery operated one that fits him perfect. Wife is heading to a friends house, so it'll be a guys afternoon today.

Built a couple new PCs for some people, fixed up a little laptop a friend gave me that needed a new screen and frame (scored new ones on ebay for $45 total), got the front driver side strut assembly off the Trailblazer and got my right shoulder extremely angry with me again, rested it for a couple hours until it calmed down, fabbed a bracket for my catch can for the Silverado and prepped it for painting (being careful to not use my right arm too much) but due to weather painting will have to wait until another day, threw laundry in the washer, typing this, then getting dinner.

Epic run-on sentence right there

Just got back from buying some more stuff for Betty white, gotta give her some attention tomorrow. Picked up a heat gun, spark plug tool, and a razor blade so I can change spark plugs and clean throttle body (already had plugs and cleaner) and then take off the pinstripe and moldings tomorrow!

What's the razor blade for? I'm hoping it's not for the pin strip removal on the paint cause the chances of you cutting into the paint are likely to happen. Trust me you won't want to do that.

Working, then have practice with my baseball team, and then heading home to do some yard work while the weather is still nice. Supposed to rain most of the week here so need to get some things done.

Wow that throttle body is in bad shape. Damn. Spark plugs look overdue aswell. I'm sure it's going to respond differently when you clean all that up and drive it a while.

The removal of those pin strip are going to leave a nice mark get your self ready with some rubbing compound and elbow grease. Lol. And a quick polish wax in 1 will help out aswell.

Well, that didn't go to plan...because I'm an idiot and ordered rotors/pads for the electric engine Rav4 not the gas engine. Ran down to Autozone, grabbed some pads and threw them on it until the right rotors etc come in.

At least I got the new slide pins greased and installed.

Yes I have already noticed it driving better and it got rid of my "check engine light". I need to take an eraser wheel to where the pinstripes and molding was. It looks good from far away but the closer you get the more you see

Got the eraser wheel and got the residue from the pinstripe off but where the side moldings came off it is dirt like in the paint so I've been told to try goo gone and hot water and/or 3M rubbing compound so I guess that's the next step to this project.

Not working today  Was supposed to rain but turned out beautiful. Had my son help me wash my truck today. Now he's napping and I'm waxing it. (Taking a break actually). Also going to pick up a couple yards of dirt to use around the house and hanging out the rest of the night.

Used some 3M rubbing compound to get the dirt off from taking the side molding off and it worked like a charm! There are some spots that need to be touched up with paint of just repainted but it looks pretty good if you ask me!

Went to the eye doctor last week and got some new glasses, so picked them up earlier today. Went grocery shop with the wife and son, worked, was supposed to play tonight but got rained out. Just sitting at home watching some hockey...hoping the Blues get bounced tonight by the Sharks.

Mostly finished wiring up outlets and lights over the workbench in the basement. It is now usable work space now that it isn't in the dark and I can actually plug stuff in. Still have another light and outlet to wire up on the other end but I need another piece of conduit for that and I ran out.

Then I hung a shelf on the wall at one spot and organized some tools. I need to get some kind of organization unit set up for all the various random supplies I have (pipe fittings, various electrical boxes, wire, etc). They're just all over the place and it is really annoying.

I also stuck some plugs in my furnace vent pipes outside because I've been getting hornets finding their way into the house and I have this suspicion they're using the 2" vent pipe as an entry point! I'll just have to remember to remove the plugs later in the fall once temps start dropping below 35 again and it cycles from the heat pump to the propane.

Slept in a bit this morning, then went out and cleaned the gutters as I noticed last night the gutters were overflowing, then went hacking at the underbrush to clear up some visibility when pulling out of my driveway. Technically the stuff wasn't on my property but further along the road and the township only trims it once, maybe twice a year.

Laundry is running now, and I'm going to my brother's place later on.
