In the cube, like many of you, passing the time. Getting a little deeper into web design, and not knowing most of what I need to know, time has flown by this week. Also been rounding up people for basketball after work. Have a decent number of people, so it should be fun as long as it stays dry, or the rains are short and early enough for the courts to dry.

Nice lift and practice type thing with our football kids this morning. Had one of my track girls show up to workout knowing workouts dont start till next week, her reason being "I just want to be better." Proud moment!

At the shop getting some work done, but thinking about anything but work.

Dealing with issues... Noticed earlier this week, my rear wiper stopped working mid drive. Didn't think it was an urgent thing, so didn't look into it right away. The past 2 days, the engine was slow to turn over in the morning, but was fine at other times in the day. Figured the battery may be having issues, although it's only 2 years old. Was planning to go out and get it tested today.

Went into the garage this morning to do laundry, and heard a steady clicking noise coming from the rear wiper motor. (insert sinking feeling here) Opened one of the doors, and no pretty blue LEDs. Pulled the fuse for the rear wiper, and the LEDs lit up dimly. My battery jumper hasn't been very good at jumping dead batteries right away ever since I got it. You had to leave it connected for a few minutes like a trickle charger... But now it's to the point it doesn't even hold a full charge. So I've got it plugged into the wall, and connected to the TB like a charger.

Put my meter on the terminals just for kicks, read 10.76V :ugh: I don't have to be anywhere until later tonight, so we'll see if I can get enough juice over the afternoon to turn the engine over. Time for a new battery jumper, and maybe a charger to keep at home.

I guess I should troubleshoot that wiper motor too. :undecided:

Was gonna do some grocery shopping, meeting up with the fellas tonight for UFC and wings.

:duh: You're not helping. :raspberry:

Ran back out and stuck the meter on the terminals again with my fingers crossed. 11.6V on the display, so that's a good sign. Maybe this dying battery jumper will be good for more than just an HID ballast test bench?

You're welcome

I'm doing a bunch of laundry today, might go rearrange some crap in the basement so I can put the furnace in place. If I have time I may even start disconnecting the old one. Later today I'm going over to my parents' place for my dad's birthday.

Buttoned up the exhaust on the corvette. Done forever. So before hand there was a nasty rattle and all the noises associated with a bad cat. On top of that the mufflers welds broke off and were just kinda hanging there. So Magnaflow cat and oem reproduction mufflers since they sounded pretty good.

Open headers, no cat just the y-pipe to the cat, was not a fan, very flat sounding no throaty rumble that SBC's normally have. Mind you I was revving to around 3k.

After all was done, not too loud, deep tone, sounds nice.

Did some channelling of my inner Sparky/High Voltage, and did some tinkering with some ceiling wiring at the crib. Living room ceiling fan hasn't worked since I moved in. Tried swapping it out with the kitchen ceiling fan :smile:confused: since when is THAT a thing?) which I know works, stopped working. Looked closer at the wiring present in both locations.

They were configured differently, with different numbers and colors of wires, and continuity missing where I thought it should be for certain functions. Ended up rewiring the living room fan to match the wiring configuration of the kitchen fan, removed the remote control interface, and now I have a nice high air flow when being a couch potato. :celebrate:

After I grab a quick shower, will be going grocery shopping, and then camping on the couch to watch some movies and enjoy my freshly working fan action.

Sweated my arse off putting a 4 channel amp into the mustang. Too hot for my liking, being inside a vehicle for a few hours in the sun was not a good time. :rotfl: Now gotta put new, functioning speakers in the rear.... Might do that in the morning when it's cool.

Wishing the rain would hold off long enough to go out and start dropping my tank. The fuel pump is gushing gas all over the place. :frown:

If you didn't already, watch may's video. It helped me alot. I had mine on the ground in about 30 minutes. It's not too bad as long as the tank isn't too full. I had about a quarter left.

Edit: just saw your other post. [emoji106]

Anyway. I'm doing homework. It sucks.

In a good deal of pain today. Left shoulder tightened up on me just before the commute to work. I'm assuming it was from trying to hoist/hold those stupid ceiling fans up by myself to hang them on their mounts. Popped some ibuprofen, but never put a dent in the pain.

Having my arm outside of the "sling position" is uncomfortable, and forget raising my arm overhead... Typing is a slow process, and has me less motivated to work than usual for a Monday. Gonna try to keep my head down, and hope nobody bothers me for the next few hours.
