Got my filter installed last night after cutting a pipe too short, requiring a quick run to the store for $1.70 worth of fittings at 8:45 PM and tackling a small leak. No more sulfur in my water! :celebrate:

Working today, nothing special aside from sleeping through my alarm and being late :duh:

Just finished dinner, at work. Also, found out that my director (My boss's boss) is leaving Volvo to be a plant manager at another company in PA. Glad he got the promotion, but definitely sad to see him leave. He was a great leader.

I assume we will be getting another director external of the company since there are only (5) directors in the plant. Hopefully it is a smooth transition for all.

Doing pretty much anything BESIDES working

Tracking a shipment from TRS, and some electrical components I'm restocking that should get here today. Some bins and cabinets should be delivered tomorrow. My big cardboard box of crap gets less efficient by the week since I keep throwing more stuff into it and there's no rhyme or reason to it. Having things separated and labelled will go along way to helping my mod bug get stuff done.

Reading up on a few styles of LED I wasn't familiar with, and daydreaming how I could use them in the EXT. That resulted in me wanting to see what reflow soldering was about, so trolled Youtube for a bit, then back to Ebay to check out some reflow soldering stations. Anybody have any buds off a money tree they are willing to sell me? :helpme:

Today I am going to attempt at troubleshooting my wife's lack of heat in her XJ. Picked up an temp gun to check the in/out temps of the heater core. I'm hoping its just an easy heater core flush.

Those rings/shrouds look huge lol, how big are your projectors, 3 inch?

All shrouds are made for 3" projectors, the rings are used as adapters to fit them on 2.5" projectors. The Lexus RX350 projectors I'm tinkering with now are 3", and the clips in the shrouds don't fit tightly enough, and the rings are too small to fit over the projector. I may try modding one set of rings, cut out the inner ring, and see if that works. The Lexus LS430 and Morimoto Mini D2S are both 2.5" projectors. The rings sort of fit on the LS430s, but aren't very secure. Everything about that projector is going to require heavy modification. :ugh:

You can do a lot with a solder pot bro. And they are not very expensive.

You learn something new everyday. I thought there were different sized shrouds for different sized projectors.
I should rephrase that, the aftermarket shrouds are all made for 3" projectors. OEM shrouds are mated to their respective projectors, which is why I'll have to do some serious modding to get shrouds attached to my Lexus projectors. With those rings, I can snap any shrouds on the Morimoto ones.

Yeah, I love the width of the Ocular shrouds. I almost went with a pair of Iris ones again, but decided to try the E55Rs this time. I was planning to use them on the MD2S projectors in the high beam spot to go with the LS430s. Need to finish the current project first though

Got my replacement SSD from NewEgg in the mail after the USPS lost my first one. So tonight I'll be putting that into my HTPC and loading all my programs.

Last day of the work week :celebrate:

Have to take the F150 into the shop Saturday morning. Wife had a hole in the side wall of one of the tires, but since she was out of state, had to take the truck to a different shop to get the tire replaced (I bought the road hazard warranty for the tires in WV). It appears that her Dunlop tires are starting to dry rot and the tread wear is horrible. I noticed the last time that I rotated her tires the tread on the middle section of all tires is almost completely gone. That type of wear would be from over inflation, but I only fill the tires to a cold 30psi all around which is what is recommended.

So they are going to replace the tire with the hole in the side wall, but it will be a prorated price for the warranty based on the amont of miles. Hopefully they will deem the tires defective and give me a new set for free, but I doubt it. Maybe at a discounted price though for (4) new tires.
