Nice  My wife and I are seeing him in a week at Alpine Valley in WI.
I have been wanting to see him for a while, but tour was never close enough or tickets sold out quick. We are seeing him in Bristow, Va at Jiffy Lube Live. Should be an awesome concert. We are heading down early in a buddy's RV for some tailgating and beers prior to the concert.

Just drove up the road to see why our power went out. I figured someone hit a power pole. It was actually a pretty large fire in the woods by the road.

Took an early morning drive to pick up a Craigslist find...not too bad for $150 and now I can drive some more demanding tools.
Forgot to mention...he threw in a 100' roll of 10/2 Romex.... :wooot: That makes the compressor about $50.

Had our Fantasy Football draft today but the meetup place had crappy WiFi so me and a friend couldn't draft until the 4th and 5th rounds. So all agreed on a redo for next Sunday and now reading up on threads. Shark Week is definitely losing me .

Reconnected with an old friend today, played some hoops for a couple hours, then hung out with his fam catching up. Decided to hit up Church's for some chicken, mashed potatoes, and biscuits. Mmm mmm, healthy!!!

:Zzzz: Overslept this morning. Turned off my alarm on Friday since I woke up extra early, and forgot to turn it back on. Doh!! :duh: Was only 30 minutes late, and since i come in before most of the other people anyway, nobody noticed. Still don't have anything important to work on, so I'm already clock watching.

A person who works at the local Mickey D's parents were poring over their 2005 TB, similarly-loaded to mine. Turns out they saw a big puddle in their driveway and came up to check their truck out. They were thinking transmission (well in a small way sure, because their transmission dipstick rusted out, so there! transmission problem), I crawled under and immediately said power steering.

They popped the reservoir cap and could quite easily see the bottom. The leak appears to be coming from where the accordion-boot on the driver inner tie rod is, I wasn't sure if it was the rack as a whole that needs replaced or if it's just a seal, but they have a mechanic who they say does good work for them and the labor is only $40/hour so it shouldn't be too painful on their budget. Definitely not like a $$ 4-figure transmission they were thinking they needed!

I went to a nearby pick-a-part in hopes of finding cup holder liners and an 05+ overhead console (w/ sunroof & homelink controls), but unfortunately in their sea of hundreds of American trucks/SUVs, only one GMT360 sat: a blue 2002 TB LS SWB. It had NO overhead console (not even a hole for it) and the center console was missing entirely.
I was 45% through the yard at that point, so I decided to continue.
Lo and behold, I stumbled upon a trashed 2000-something (probably 2005-ish) Chevy Avalanche.
I knew of no interchangeable parts except the 3rd brake light, so for $15 I got my hands on an LED 3rd brake light to replace my beaten and faded one.
I'll be installing it shortly...

Just had a pretty great lunch. Asiago Bagel and leftover steak. Made one awesome sandwich.
