Welding, sawing, fabricating, screwing on/in hardware, clipping, sealing, taping, machining, milling, inspecting, assembling, packaging....

Yep, back on my old line again, started this week. Feels good man! Though loading wasn't all that bad. And the group leader over there isn't a turd. My GL always singles me out to stay and help the last people get done. Not yesterday though, he walked off for more carts, my crap was clean and done and put away so I walked right out along with the rest of the people on my side of the line. Felt real good. :rotfl:

More plumbing work with my dad in the basement bathroom. If it goes well we may get the drywall in on one side.

That's gotta be worth some dough if you're recycling it.

What substation did you pull that much copper from?
Well he demoed 2 substations from a 28k square ft office building. They were approx 300' from the MDP. damn good money. Especially since we have a machine WS 212 wire stripper.

You'd like my workplace, then. No substation 300 feet away, but the one plant has a couple pad transformers about 15 feet from the building with the power room on the other side. The other just has pole transformers (2 or 3 sets of 3) running to the power room. But the plant is wired to be configurable. Instead of running just enough wire for a certain machine in a certain place, there's whole huge lengths of conduit spanning the ceiling, you got 120 V conduits, 208, 240, 480.... and then of course the lighting and communications wiring. Take the air system too, I'm sure you could use a few large compressors (unfortunately with an inadequate dryer), like 20 miles of air tubing and what looks like a 500+ gallon air receiver. :rotfl:

Oh, what did I do today? Check the What Did You Do To Your GMT thread in a few minutes.

Just saw some pictures on ol' Le Reddit's /r/justrolledintotheshop. Grease was slung all around the inside of a wheel. The poster states, "Jeep Grand Cherokee recall, 'Some vehicles may not have had CV joint clamps installed in the factory.'"

I know we have had our fair share of recalls, with another one just rolled out for something that's already been recalled, but for the most part it's been shortcomings in design (and vehicle design, if you actually take a look at all the parts and shapes and contours, isn't simple anymore!) while this is just a plain old screw-up on the assembly line. Wow!

Now I'm in Winfield, just south of Vernon to drop off the nieces at my wife's sisters house. Long haul today. Next up, driving back home to North Vancouver.

Been straightening and cleaning the house all weekend for a big party next weekend. Between vacation and work I've been on the road for the past 5 weeks. Only short stints at home. Still need to do some work work tonight.

Yeah same position, just on a different shift. My boss originally hired me for 2nd shift back in 2012. Due to some issues with the 3rd shift supervisor, I had to move to 3rd.

He hired another supervisor about a month ago. I had to train him prior to me moving to 2nd. The wife wanted me to move more than anything, needless to say she is extremely excited.

Happy wife, happy life

Did the LED dash light mod to the 64 vette last week and might do the same to this 67. This 67 needs an audio refresher too. Has a retrosound radio and eclipse amp but sounds like the radio in my alarm clock. Think the deck is crap. Gonna swap in a spare deck tomorrow to rule it out or condemn it.

Ordering a new coil pack. Determined that coil from cylinder 4 was bad. Filled up this morning drove down the street and then stopped at a light. When I did my truck just stopped. Had to restart it and then damn did I know something was bad, idled rough and sounded like a Harley motorcycle lol, not like my Magnaflow sounds like at all! Once the check engine light started flashing I knew it was a miss-fire. So I took it to Autozone, they confirmed it and then my investigation started. Tried some Octane booster to see if it can counteract the possible bad fuel I may of been pumping earlier. No luck. So thought maybe it couldn't be spark plugs because I just replaced all of them 3 weeks ago. Swapped coils from cylinder 1 and 4 and ran the motor. Pulled harness from coil pack 4 and there was no difference in the engine. Then pulled the harness for coil 1 that I put into cylinder 4 and what'ya know engine lost power. So the culprit was coil from cylinder 4. Sorry for going on..... just happy I was able to figure it out haha :rotfl:

You can see what I did here

Tonight, I'm being disappointed by Shark Week. Seems like every year these 'documentaries' get more fictional and sensational. I guess they wanted to compete with Shark-nado... :hopeless:
