I shouldn't be allowed to take things apart I have 8 projects im doing at once now and yet I found another I want to do after stripping apart a treadmill the frame would make a great start to a go cart with minimal cutting plus the hydraulic system would be a fun addition and I got shock resistant body mounts for it and a neighbor with a 16hp rebuilt motor for dirt cheap I can't be trusted alone[emoji13]

Working with no vacation in sight. Is your place hiring Dmanns?
Yes sir. We are currently looking for another Maintenance Supervisor for 3rd shift I believe. Minimum starting salary is $75,000 and up depending on what you can negotiate. You will also start with 200 hours (25 days) of vacation time. You get more hours based on your years of service. Also, if you work 2nd or 3rd shift, you will receive a 10% bonus to your salary, so really the base salary would be $82,500. They also pay overtime as well, which I was surprised since I was salary.

:hopeless: I am in the wrong profession...

As for me, another night of packing. Got a lot done, but don't have a lot of space to organize things as I still have to share space with 2 people. Got a game plan to juggle things around and make sure everything goes quickly on Saturday. Then freedom will be mine!!!

Aren't you in IT?

I have a lot of packing to do and will probably just take my time so I don't kill myself doing this move.

You have to account for the higher cost of living here in MD, which is why I only work here, but live in WV. I looked and interviewed for months until coming across this job. Great pay and benefits. If I could move the plant down to Nashville, TN that would be even better.

I know of your military background DManns, but what's your job? Is it related to the army?
No. After getting out of the Marines, I got a civilian job as a maintenance supervisor at Volvo Powertrain USA. We machine 13L crankshafts, 11L/13L camshafts, and gears and housings for the T300 transmission. We also assemble the AMT transmission, T300 transmission, and 11L/13L Volvo and Mack Truck engines.

Soon we will machine and assemble the axles (Carriers) as well.

Kinda sorta Larry. Our company is setup weird. People call me IT when it's convenient and something's broken or needs fixing or built, but I still get roped in on non IT stuff when they need a reasonably smart, warm body on a project.

I realize cost of living, and FL having no state income tax comes into play, but I've been here 5 years, and just now get 4 weeks PTO. Dave could sell some of his vacation time and be rolling in loot to feed his mod bug! :hopeless:

Heck, I am IT and get roped into non-IT things as well.

Quitting my part-time gig at Walmart is what I'm doing today.

I got a part-time job with Murphy USA that is opening about 4 minutes away from my house. Store manager hired me on the spot...wanted me for an Assistant Store Manage but I already have a full-time job...we'll see how it goes.

Slinging the pizza as usual....fortunately things went back to normal on Sunday so all I am doing is slinging pizza lol....no more 15-19hr days

Blowing out the cobwebs after the truck sat for a week, until I had time to replace a bad coil pack. Cleaned out the backseat from all the food wrappers/containers that keep piling up, apparently a problem that comes with being a nurse.

Waiting for tornado to hit

Gonna try and figure out how to post pics! I got lots pics that I've taken since the upgrade but never got around to figuring out how to post em. Ya I know, I'm slow with some changes. Eventually I'll get it tho.

I haven't been spending much time on the laptop in the cave (shed) since I quit smoking cigars back on Feb 4th. I was smoking 2 - 8 packs a day. 140 days so far, I hope I got er done for good this time. Some of you may remember I tried before when Voymom n Mat quit. I love the math..........$18.50 day x 140 days = $2590.00

Still smoking. About 6 a day...except if I'm drinking or playing golf.

Going to my daughters grade 8 graduation tonight. Shes on the honor roll with 85% avg. I can't believe she'll be going to high school in September. We're really proud of her achievements
