 Spreading the power folding mirror mod bug over on SSOwners :satan:

Sheeting in the addition that I am working on. Got it framed and rafters on. Sheeted the exterior walls, and most of the roof - need another piece of plywood to finish. Next step...roofing shingles etc. I even have the windows all ready to go.

another 3 weeks of work ( only get saturdays and a couple nights a week so.....)

I'll post some pics someday....

uploadfromtaptalk1403134609753.jpg Just chopped down all of my corn. First time growing it and I didn't realize it needed abundant amounts of fertilizer. Got the old tractor out to till it up again to plant more and treat it right but got the tractor stuck in third when shifting from second to reverse. Luckily it's a common problem with these older Massey Furguson tractors and there's plenty of write ups on how to fix it. Ugh.

Reserving a Uhaul, setting up TV/internet service, and all the other joys you have to look into prior to moving, which I'll be doing in a week and a half.

I remember your stance on moving people... Besides, I'm sure you woulda rather gone to beerfest by your-damn-self anyway! :raspberry:

A lot of my stuff never got unpacked from the last move, so in theory this move should go faster than the last one, which we managed to get done in a couple of hours.

Never really done moving though. I moved out of my parents house 5 years ago, and they still bring boxes of stuff over. I'm sure when I finally buy a house it'll be one big last load that'll end up on my kitchen floor :rotfl:

preparing for my interview tomorrow :woot:

The County Clerk of Courts office called me this morning. First time in 17 years, I'll be on the other side getting the interview instead of giving it. Talk about nerves!

Back in cubical for one day of studying for state real estate test tomorrow

Nailed the interview! It was very intimidating. I was sat down in front of 3 people, not just a one on one experience like I was expecting. The actual head of the county whose name is on all of the gas pumps (that auditor sticker or whatever you call it) was there as well. Honestly, the interview just felt more like an open conversation. They explained their benefits, hours of business, location settings, salary, with an occassional question here or there. Once I sat down, all nerves went away and 45 minutes later I was done. Things seem very promising as half the board members there know my family and see my father about 3 times a week. So fingers crossed. But for my first interview after 17 years of being eith one company, it was a walk in the park.

Congrats! I knew ya had it in ya!

thx bro. I did have to put on my sweet talking skills a bit, but with over 20 yrs experience of dealing with the public, my resume spoke for itself. all they asked me was why am I leaving my current job, am I a fast learner, and why did I stop with school after my degree. that's it lol. the rest of the time was just listening to them talk, ask how my family was, and complain about the county :rotfl:

Catching up on some DVR before work and installing some goodies on the TB.

Also, just bought some concert tickets for Creedence Clearwater Revisted, which is a band started in the 90's by the members of Creedence Clearwater Revival, more commonly known as CCR. The show is at Hollywood Casino, it should be a good time.

Trying to catch up. Very busy week, just now have time to log on for a little bit. I do plan to be around a bit more this weekend to really catch up.

Hitting up the grocery after work, a little yard work, changing the oil in the ol' F-150, and going for a bike ride with the wife.

Working yet another long ass day and researching Kia Sportages when I have free time.

Be careful Darkrider and investigate well. I researched for a car the wife liked a Elantra. (Different brands same companies) Could not find anything really wrong about them. I was wrong!!!! It was built to a lower standard in every way. The rear suspension had issues that the mechanics at the dealership said yes you are right they do that . Seat material , carpets all just a little cheaper. Just be careful and cautious and test drive. I thought I had enough and I was wrong. We traded in the Elantra after 2 years and 80km and bought a Mazda3 what a much better car . Not even in the ball park for comparison. Just my experience hope yours is better.

Bunch of running around hopefully getting something done
