My dad's work van died while he was driving it for the first time in a couple weeks. He coasted to the side of the road and noticed some sort of smoke was starting to come from the engine compartment. He popped the hood and leaped aside as a smoldering and terrified porcupine tore out of the engine compartment and down the street, a faint trail of smoke in his wake. Looking back at the engine, the smoke was getting worse as visible flames started to grow larger. A guy from a nearby office came running out with a fire extinguisher and got it put out by the time the fire department arrived, who then hosed it down further for good measure. Being the type of guy he is, my dad had it towed home and running within the afternoon. It appears the porcupine had nested on the intake manifold and either intentionally or unintentionally damaged some wires which caused the fire.

Moral of the story - glance over the engine compartment before starting your vehicle if it's been sitting for very long.

That was me in that Elantra. Sorry Harmless I did not want to tell every one but you forced me. That was me that smoked you on the highway, Blew by you doing at least 105 km , left you standing still, as if you were not moving. :rotfl::rotfl:

That's all good. At 105KM/hr, I AM just standing still. Mom always told me that every once in a while, you have to let the smaller, more retarded kids win a round or two. Makes the game feel fair and they don't feel as butthurt and will want to play again.

BTW, if you were in the Elantra (which is smaller than harmless) that does make you the "smaller retard" of the bunch... therefore I am still correct. This one you will not win. :raspberry:

The things you see here are just amazingly stupid. I'll be pretty busy completing my mods list before end of next week, then it's vacation time wooohoo! 1300 mile roadtrip back home! Hope my Truck is ready by then! No joke to get stranded in the middle of the desert!

anyways so yeh i'm sure i'll pick up a few other pix throughout the process :rotfl:
