Maybe if you do not have time or want to do the retro yourself, you could send Aarkon the headlights (As long as they are not OE) to do a retro. Supplying your own headlights should cut down on costs.HARDTRAILZ said:I want projectors bad but have 3 sets of stock lights...2 factory and 1 new aftermarket. Plus a set of halo lights that need work.
Sweet. I just seen USPS just sent me a notificaiton that my shrouds have been delivered finally. I believe that is the last piece I need for this retro, I hope.Mounce said:I should get my projectors tomorrow. Holdup for output pics will be the bulbs..usps estimates they'll be here THURSDAY.

Where are the HIDs coming from?
Did you just get the bulbs and reusing the ballasts?Mounce said:Shrouds from the guy on hidp?
And they're coming from Chicago.
Yeah the scratch is tiny and at the bottom of the lens, it'll be one of those things that only I will be able to see unless I point it out to someone. I doubt that it'll affect output but don't know yet since I haven't actually ran a bulb in it.dmanns67 said:Does not look like the scratch on the lens affected the output. No one will see the scratches on the outside of the bowl since it will be tucked into the headlight plus the shroud. You could also paint the outside of the bowls too. I like the look of the gatlings.
Speaking of painting, just finished painting the outer bowls of the Matchbox projectors. I was going to leave them alone, but figured they needed added protection since almost the entire bowl sticks out the backside of the housing. Ended up using some left over caliper paint since it can withstand high temperatures and the elements.

Actually, there are very few people who do it this way.SnowBlazer said:Thought of that but wasn't sure if there was a reason why everyone used side moldings.
6mm x 1.0 stainless steel set screws. Pipe tape on the threads. RTV black on top of all (10) holes before the side molding goes on.Midnyteryder196 said:Yeah I can't remember the size.. But dmanns told me bout em I think.. So he might remember the size. They are Allen head set screws that you can screw in flush.. Doesn't look too bad either.. Maybe take some touch up paint over the top of em if u can't find any body painted mouldings
Going for white again huh?HARDTRAILZ said:Really debating powder coating bumpers white since they need redone
