Has the weather affected your modding gents? I haven't been able to repaint my bumper trim, too cold to paint outside. Can't paint in here with kids around

For sure man. Have not even wanted to go out and test fit my fogs or play with my wiring idea for the bi-xenon projectors.

I might suck it up this weekend though.

Glad you guys finally got the wiring harness thing settled. I was going to chime in between watching TV, and eating, but figured by the time I got one of my long winded explanations typed to answer one question, there would be 6 or 7 posts in response already.

The weather hasn't slowed down my modding, since most of what I've been up to, is done indoors. A new (free) game on my PS3 has taken up quite a bit of my spare time this week, and hasn't shown any signs of getting old yet, so this could be a problem for the TB.

I do plan to do my STi-R clear lens swap on my projectors TOMORROW! I need to stop putting that off. And at least get the bottoms of my shrouds trimmed. I may forego building top side projector mounts, and just have the shrouds rest on the reflector bowl floor, using that for the additional support. I'll have to do some testing on that.

I was thinking today of how much of a mod addict I am. I modded my truck w two styles of lift kits. One has since been modded and the other has been modded twice since. Modding mods has to be full addiction.

I might repaint the entire dash black, seeing as I'll have to take it all the way apart to fix the blend door actuators....

I looked through your build thread last night and you are "mod-aholic". Your truck changed so many time throughout the fives years......paint colors on the hood, front end bumper, rims, wheels, etc. My goodness bro.

You should update your build thread with pics of you interior mods like stereo, cb, gauges etc

Actually it's not that bad.....it seems to go together much like a large scale lego set with the odd screw here and there...

It just peeled off with the screwdriver? I guess that works. When I cut my first set open, that was the same portion I discarded.

Lol yes, you have a sweet setup. I was even gonna use the alligator clips in my old battery, but just put them on my little battery pack instead

Also it appears that bulb is 41mm long or 1.6". Those chips used are not too bright. Look for 5050 or 5630 LEDs.
I've been looking for those ones and came across these. Just though about the durability of these with them not having the plastic base and body...especially after I saw the ones you had and how bad they melted.

Yeah. You could as long as they are shorter. Try to stick with 194s that are close to 1-1/8" or 28mm.

That is the standard size of a 194 LED and the same size of all the 194s that I have. No fitment issuesm

I need to do that too, the dust mod on the dash is pretty bad, the salt on my floor liners look like I've been driving one handed.

So as I'm sitting here at work bored and thinking bout mods.. What controls the gauge lights? If I remember right my dash lights will turn on before my headlights and park lights. Also when I kill my lights at night by turning the switch to the left, my gauge lights stay on.. Which leads me to believe They are not directly controlled by the light switch.. Any ideas?

If you're REALLY bored, you can download the wiring diagrams from Mooseman's thread for research. :book:

Inevitably, as you scroll through looking for your main objective, your eye will scan over something causing more ideas and questions to pop in your head. Endless fun I tell ya, endless fun!
