Planning my Tool Box Mod Tomorrow!! trying to get some ideas together for the organizing process. I thought of doing the workout mat mod but now I am leaning towards just lining all of the drawers with a nice carpet.

I am open to any GOOD ideas haha

And yes I thought about putting led's in that bitch....

That reminds me of my toolbox/sub box idea I had a while back. My house came with a whole bunch of random lumber so I may even have most of the supplies needed to build it without spending a lot :undecided:

yes carpet?? you never seen a toolbox with carpet in the drawers?

HARDTRAILZ said:
I was looking at several sets like that, but I can't seem to find any with only 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2" drive in separate drawers. I have way too many of each to come close to putting them in one drawer. 12 point, 6 point, deep well, metric, sae, torx, alans etc. i even have some 3/4 drive stuff.

still leaning towards the carpet idea atm...

Use spray foam to fill drawers then cut out the holes needed for all your sockets

I normally use foam myself. We also used this two-part foam stuff that we poured in with the tools in place.

Whenever I get a place with a garage I'm definitely gonna try the foam idea out

I would never use spray foam

If I use foam it will be the workout mats, you take one layer and trace your tools on it and cut them out, then you put it on top of an uncut piece in the drawer. some people glue them together, and apply labels. which is what i would do if I choose to go that route. not sure If I want to go through all of that trouble on this little box though. When I get a house with a larger garage I will get back in the big leagues with another cornwell box or comparable.

my other box was very much like this one. lost it thanks to my ex wife.

Kind of amusing how the Blazer is gonna end up rolling on 31s before the tb....but I'm at the point I'm giving some serious thought towards just saving up around 3k and dropping the trailblazer off at one of the local shops. Hopefully with some luck perhaps a zone body lift and mark Mc 2.5" lift may find their way into said shop as well...

Just lift the blazer, no point in two lifted GMT's for one owner IMO

I have def kicked that thought around. Either way I'm still getting adapters to run fsc wheels and 245/75r16 tires on the trailblazer.

Also, he does live in an area with worse winters than us Americans have had to deal with. Having two capable vehicles could be handy in case they decide to take turns breaking down. Which would suck

Wow. The ignorance of this astounds me. I have had two lifted GMT or more for most of my life. I do now and will have more that because the two current ones will never leave the flock.
