A good weird, though, right? I haven't owned a NEW new car since 1988. Even then it was a salesman's demo (wow, I don't think any dealership does that anymore) with almost 4K miles on it. The last bike was NEW new, with only 4 miles on it (likely done by the mechanic as a pre-delivery inspection). That was 2005. The 'Voy had, I think, about 60K or so miles on it.
 
I suppose I don't fully understand the "savings" when buying a brand new car, seeing how you end up dropping thousands to get it, but....

Yea it is a good wierd, the Trailblazer only had 47K on it when i got it and it leaves my hands with only 57K on it so once its rebuilt and it finds a new home (hopefully with decals intact to help its new owner find this place) that new owner will have a similar feeling..

The savings will come in the form of less repairs if any, better fuel mileage..etc..

I didn't. Saw he joined July 14, 2014. Counting the 14th, that's 18 days in July, 31 for August & Oct, 30 for Sept & Nov, and 30 for Dec. for a total of 170 days total. Divided his current post count at the time. 80.4 something.

You save in the peace of mind as well as the fun of being the first and only (so far) owner. You lose $$ but the warranty is nice as well as the customer service from a dealership.
 
The immediate depreciation is what would bother me. But I completely understand Chris' predicament. He has to have a functioning car and with payments being less than the TB's which was outta commission I would've done the same thing.
