It didn't. I am done for the night. I have to say the XB35s are definitely brighter than my 3Fives. Warm up time appears to be cut in half. Not sure if all that is due to the new design of the Morimoto HIDs or the fact that my 3Fives were over a year old. I could tell my 3Fives were aging because they had a more of a 5500K look compared to the 4500K I just installed. Either way, I definitely did not waste my $50.

I could tell a difference when comparing the new 4500Ks to the 4300Ks I have in the fogs as well since they have about the same amount of time on them as my headlights did. They are definitely color shifting as they age. Going to be hitting 6000k in the fogs here soon

oh my bad, i forgot about it bro. I have not used those in any clusters or anything. seems like they would work well. I just ordered a bunch of 5mm flat top led's and I was planning to try putting a small dab of the same color paint on the tip of them to eliminate the hot spots...

Yeah flat top wide angle LEDs will look best for our instrument clusters

has anyone tried the paint idea? maybe a small drop of fingernail polish so it is slightly clear? just a thought but I think it would work great
I feel like fingernail polish isn't transluscent enough, there's gotta be something though

This is a pic on my garage door. Also this is with the Morimoto 3Five D2S HIDs. I need to get a pic with the Morimoto XB35 D2S HIDs

Yessss! A how-to for the fogs.
Great minds think a like. I was actually thinking today about doing that. I have been talking to Ryan offline so I figured we could make it a joint fog light projector build thread. Its expensive though. You are looking at $235 just for parts. Thats assuming you already have a 880 wire harness and ballasts. If not, you are looking at $320 roughly.

Ahh that would be cool of you guys to do. Yeah that's pricey....but a detailed how-to would be great!

In case you did not see it, this is the projectors in hi beam mode. I also have the Cree LEDs in the hi beams as well. That is the blue/purple light you see on the house. Pay no attention to the FORD

Also, check this $hit out. After I took out the 3Five HID and Installed the XB35 HID, I notice the connector from the ballast would not go onto the base. Then I see the damn contactor for the igniter had broken off  Hopefully TRS will hook me up with a new HID, maybe another XB35.

The one on the right is what the base of the D2S is supposed to look like.

They should hook you up. I was bored as hell last night and their return policy seems pretty forgiving.
