Not sure, didn't document mileage at last oil change but the light hadn't came on yet. Was pretty black and had the typical used oil smell lol.
Yeah. Seems that it does not take long for oil to turn black.

Interesting info about the Fram oil filter. Honestly, I have never used a Fram oil filter on anything. It was not until I joined here and heard to stay away from them. I have always used AC Delco until I switched over to Mobil1 full synthetic. I switched over to the Mobil1 oil filter as well.

Another reason is I came across an oil filter filtration study on here and the Mobil1 oil filter appeared to have performed the best. Not sure where the Fram oil filter fell on the list.

Probably fell to the bottom of the list lol. I can't say anything about the cheaper Fram filters though, that's why I'm gonna cut some open and see what they're like. Cutting them open makes a huge mess using a band saw though lol.

I was kinda scared to switch filters because I'd seen one case with one of the guys having knocking issues that the Delco filter reduced oil flow or something and made the knocking worse but when they put a Fram filter in the knocking wasn't so bad. So I was scared it was gonna create some kind of oil starvation issues but do far do good.

Good news is that I looked at the LBJ's while I was under there and their boots aren't ripped lol.

Yeah. I always inspect the undercarriage while I am doing an oil change. Wish more components had zerk fittings like the wife has on her F150. Although she is losing a quart of oil every 6,000 miles.

I know how we love to clean our throttle body here, but going through the Chilton manual for the F150, it says to NEVER clean the TB. Something about it will cause a coating on the TB to be removed. Of course I bought the manual after already cleaning the TB twice.

Yeah I felt of them to see if they had zerks, no suck luck. They looked a little deflated like they could use some grease lol.

Check the recent sale thread, it's getting interesting.

Its 1500-2000 around here. Gmt400s are so common its disgusting. Definitely not a value holder round these parts.

Kbb priced it around $2500 in good condish for my area. Didn't ask for miles. That's a thousand dollar beater to me.
