Thank you! One last question, it states that my bulb is a t5 size. However these are t10 size. Are these interchangeable?
What states that your bulb is a t5? 921 bulbs use the same base as a 194/168 and they're t10 also. The "t-x" numbers are what base it uses.

You're right, it doesn't matter. I misunderstood it. I could of sworn I read it in my manual, but it was nowhere in there. Stupid noob mistake.

Yeah the manual will tell you bulb numbers but not base sizes. And it's no big deal, us noobs have to learn somewhere (here).

Has anyone brought led drls or tried them on our platform?
What you mean with DRL? I have some side emitting strips mounted on top of my headlights that are wired into a circuit that comes on when key is on.. So its a form of DRL I guess.. Lol

Something like this. But I would wire it to come in with my lows. I'm not buying this specific one though. My front end has gotten boring.

I had those before. I loved it. But the led strip lasted a good year and a half to two years. And even though I ordered white, I was pulled over twice for my lights looking blue.

Lol well for $3.50 I'm not out a whole lot.. Thought bout ordering a few more BC even at that price I could change em out ever couple months lmao
I would have too. I wouldn't think of doing this if I had my retrofit done. But after someone stole my box holding the headlights I haven't brought spares. Need something to do over my winter break. Lol

Go to a junk yard and get a busted set of LS headlights. Get them open, retrofit the reflector bowls, and get them aligned on your truck. That's the hardest and most time consuming part. Then when you get some pocket change scraped up, buy new LT lights, swap the retrofitted bowls into the brand new housings, and you are done. That's your winter break assignment. :poke:

Kinda wonder if a 3x3 square light like rigid duallys or similar would fit inside the bowls...

I'm strongly considering buying a couple Kozera light bars for possible high beam usage if I can make the LS430s fit in my housings. Someone posted his early field test pics somewhere, which were impressive. Here are his water proof, and freeze test pics.

For a guestimated $150 a pop, and as bright as they are, that's a great deal.

$300 for hi beams is quite pricey, but holy $hit those things are bright. I was surprised to see how small they are, but yet produce 3000 lumen a piece. His ice cube test was pretty cool. Those would put Kevin's Crees to shame.

Wonder if TRS will try to buy the product and the rights :undecided:

I have 60 crees for far cheaper when I can use high beams.

Keep in mind, different people have different missions. Most of the people on HIDP don't drive SUVs or trucks, let alone offroad built rigs. So a 60 LED light bar isn't an option for them, they have to have something small and compact like that. Otherwise they would end up squarely in our Worst Appearance Mods thread :poke:

Seems step for triple crees going inside a housing so needing less of its own housing than a bar would. :undecided:

But for the price you could tuck a couple LED 18 watt cubes behind the grill and not have appearance issues but keep an extra $200 in your pocket.

I understand where you're coming from, Trailz. There's just something about new lights that drive some guys crazy. :rotfl: I'm all in for reading about those lights but $150 is too much for me too when I could get two or three (or even more) cheap bars for the same/less price.

I personally like the small compact design of it. Price aside, 3000 lumen is quite a bit for how small they are. Like Carlton said, this design will appeal to enthusiasts outside of the offroad community. Hell the guy had two of them mounted to his motorcycle/dirt bike. Cannot do that with a large light bar and not look goofy.

You can use a $40 6 inch bar and not look goofy.

We could 'discuss' the perceived value of mods until the cows come home, eat, shit, get bored and leave again. Whether it be guys spending $1500-2000 on rims (yes Kyle we're well aware of your feelings towards all black ones); thousands on amps, batteries, speakers and subwoofers; thousands on go-fast parts; who knows how much on lifts, off roading suspension, big tires, armor and recovery gear; or hundreds in projector retrofits. As long as no one is putting themselves or others in danger, what's the big deal?

I don't see a big deal. Seems my initial comment on no light being worth $150 to me struck a nerve. Still feel that way, but really do not care what someone else wants to do. I do like to help ensure they know of all the other options though.

We are all very aware that there are many options for LED light bars out there. We are commenting on the one specific light bar that Carlton posted. We are not selling it nor are we telling people to buy it. Its a new and interesting design that someone took upon themself to create and share. Everyone knows how you feel about this light bar as you have posted the same thing four times.

I stumbled across these guys the other day and thought they could be useful for quite a few mods around the TB.
http://www.oznium.com/led-bolt

For my purposes, I have been thinking about putting a set in my overhead console (where the EXT window switches should go) so that way I can have a sunglasses holder AND dome lights in my overhead console.
At $5 a pop, this would be cheaper than buying a new overhead console (especially one with homelink and sunroof) with lights and then ordering an led conversion for it.

Additionally, they seem to work well as puddle lights, but I don't think I could bring myself to drill into the bottom of my new mirrors like this.

Anybody interested in a set of these for $19.99 + shipping? Messaged them about an issue with one of mine and the warranty had already expired so they offered to sell me another set for $19.99, I don't want another set so thought I'd offer up a deal to see if anyone was interested.

Just testing the waters here, haven't made my mind up about it yet.

So they're giving you about 25% off? It's something at least.

So searching for some smd strips to line my cluster when i change out the gauge face to get rid of the hot spots... i found that some sellers have 7020 smd strips.. only been able to find them in white though through my little bit of searching. but has anyone tried these yet? wonder how bright they are compared to the 5630 or the 5050 smd's..

5630s were impressive over the 5050s. I can only imagine how bright a 7020 is, but that will be a large SMD.
