Yeah man, the 6000K color is usually what you're gonna get, unless they specifically tell you they are a lower temperature.

I cleaned my throttle body today. The attachment shows how it looked like before cleaning. Is it possible that I'm the first one to do that after 90k or does it look like someone has done it before?

Did some research on the new GMT to see if they have any special things like our short TC fluid interval

Today I replaced both front lca's on the voy as well as the passenger side half shaft assembly. Took me about 5 hrs to complete but it's done. I always recheck everything I do to make sure I don't forget anything. Tomorrow I have to take it in for an alignment. Hopefully I'll get another 60000 mile out of all the new front end parts I put in to this truck.

Next will be the brakemotive rotors and pads cross drilled slotted. I order the set up on Saturdays should be here by mid week for me to install this following weekend.

Replaced the thermostat. Before replacement temp gauge was reading 1-2 ticks to the left of 210. Torque was reading 174-188 depending on ambient temperature. After replacement the temp gauge is reading right at 210 or a half a tick to the right. Torque is reading from 191 to 196 on a short drive. 192 at idle.

Used it to help pull a buddy's F250 out of a mud hole in the middle of the desert.

Yesterday I did the temperature/compass mirror mod from the How-To I bookmarked form the old site a couple years ago. Seems to be working. Now I just need to figure out how to install keyless entry on my TB and I'll be happy

You probably missed his "what are you doing today" post. That explains things a bit better.

Staying on topic, I partially removed the driver's seat panel on mine to try and get a look at how it's attached for some modding. When I get home, I'll pull the lumbar dial and seat back levers off, so I can better assess some attachment points.

Both inner CV boots failed a while ago and the joints started getting noisy in turns.
In preparation for winter, I ordered two of the Cardone replacements and installed them yesterday.
The originals lasted just shy of 75k and 13 years.

All of that time/crust/rust/gunk made these guys an S.O.B. to get out, but they do just 'pop right out' with a little, uhh, persuasion.

I also went to the Pick-A-Part and found an '05 LT. I was tempted to nab the overhead console and badges, but I settled for the fog lights.
Now I have to figure out how to get them in my LS bumper without looking like garbage.
Maybe I'll just get an LT bumper cover and call it a day...

I put 1/2 bottle of Seafoam in the vaccum line just a while ago. So I'm kinda waiting that out so I can run it. And also took a few pic's of the new lca's for you guys.
Yesterday didn't go to we'll with the brake upgrade they actually sold me the wrong caliper brackets so that's on hold till next week.

Installed 1/0 wires for the following

Alternator
Fuse block
Engine block ground
Frame ground
Body ground

Removed all the original wiring and installed the new stuff in its place.

That is some fat wire.

I did all of mine a while back. The only one I really had an issue with was the fuse block finding the right terminal end to get it in there. I'm sure you'll do alot better then I did and you will probably make me want to switch it up. So don't forget pic's. :pictures:

Mobil1 synthetic oil change at 156k miles. 8604 miles on oil life and 29% oil life on OLM. Little lower life than I usually change it but it could be worse. It could have a leak. I saw a Nissan Altima putting oil in it at gas pump, looked new and my wife insisted I do NOT ask him how many miles were on it. She won.

Did a lot that didn't take much effort.

Filled the tank. Wish the fuel prices would continue to go down. Just over $2.65/gal reg unleaded here.

A buddy who I was helping with his computer (he's not too savvy but his son IS old enough to search for porn. Most of you I bet know what that means for a computer) is a body shop guy for MAACO. He looked at my headlights. They were fine for me, but he said he could get one looking same as new, the other probably close. Told him I didn't have much time. He tells me 10 minutes (we were at his shop on the lunch hour. I was fixing his laptop). 4 large sanders, all with different grits. I still need to wash off the residue (you can see it under the lamps), but they look like he said they would. The pass side looks like it might have inside stain or something.

Finally, got to the post office. XavierNY25 sent me the LED fog bulbs he wasn't happy with. They came in today, and if it doesn't rain tomorrow I think I'll get under there to see how they are. Thanks XavierNY25! Let me know about a poster or something.

Driver's side looks like new. Need better pics but wanted them quick between rain falls.

You can see a little "staining" on the lower right.

@mcsteven you will probably want to get yourself some UV resistant clear coat to spray on those lenses, if the body shop guy didn't do it for you, so they don't start yellowing/hazing up down the road.

You bet. Had some from when I made the attempt with the toothpaste and sander. It goes on tomorrow if it's a dry day.

Dumped $40 worth of mid grade fuel in her this morning. Did 2 WOT pulls on the interstate before I even got to work in less than 20 miles. Went from full to 3/4 tank in about 20 miles. :rotfl:

Damn..... :eyebrowhuh:

Edit:
KO list for the day
- 2002 Eclipse RIP
- 1997 Firebird RIP

KO - Knocked off? As fed them your tailpipe fumes? Or . . . .
20 miles? Were you WoT the entire 20 miles? Holy moly.

Drove it about 50 miles. Rarely drive it anymore since I've been working, still running good. Got an odd clunk every once in a while when hitting the brakes that I need to look into.

Drove it in the rain. Fell in love all over when every inch of the truck was beading water. :inlove: Need to sort out the passenger side front caliper. When applying the breaks it makes a binding/creaking noise. I fixed it a few months ago by greasing the slides and cleaning the clips and pad since they were loaded with dust. 30k on the duralast golds and there is a little less than half of the pad left. I like it.
