Putting in a new battery today...old one is nearly 4 years old and it needed a jump this morning. I've got a prorated warranty, so that should sting a bit less.
New battery solved the problem, but I only got $26 for the old one.Matt said:Putting in a new battery today...old one is nearly 4 years old and it needed a jump this morning. I've got a prorated warranty, so that should sting a bit less.
I read the box up and down, checked some online reviews, and opened the box and examined what I could of the unit itself before purchasing. It was something like $10 or more, while I could have had a Purolator Gold for $7 or a PF61 for like $5, so I wanted to be more confident in the cost.Sparky said:I've been using the Mobil 1 filters for a few years now.

Replaced the lights in the head light switch with 10mm flat top LEDs also.

Let me know what they quote for just the hood painting portion if you can. I have been looking a bit and all the quotes on painting the cowl hood seem high enough I may be doing a full spraypaint and some vinyl on itMatt said:Went to the body shop yesterday arvo, he's going to ring me later today or tomorrow with the price for a new painted hood.
Tried to replace the rear drivers door handle and found out it's not the door handle, it's the brace/bracket that holds it on rusted and fell apart. And that's a part that is not available except off a junk one...fortunately just found 2 at the local junkyard, so my arse will be out there early on Sunday morning.
Will do.HARDTRAILZ said:Let me know what they quote for just the hood painting portion if you can. I have been looking a bit and all the quotes on painting the cowl hood seem high enough I may be doing a full spraypaint and some vinyl on it
Shout out to mrwitty...made me take another look at the new handle I got from Rock Auto and it did have the bracket. (I'm a dickhead) 20 minutes and I have a door handle that doesn't flap in the breeze.Matt said:Tried to replace the rear drivers door handle and found out it's not the door handle, it's the brace/bracket that holds it on rusted and fell apart. You're NOT a dickhead, you fixed the problemMatt said:Shout out to mrwitty...made me take another look at the new handle I got from Rock Auto and it did have the bracket. (I'm a dickhead) 20 minutes and I have a door handle that doesn't flap in the breeze.
Thanks mate , but sadly, I can admit it. When I looked at the back of the handle the bracket is front and centre and I didn't even realise it...Denali n DOO said:You're NOT a dickhead, you fixed the problem
