Took it to the park behind me, there's a quarter inch of ice on the roads, engaged the 4wd and did burnouts behind the sierra.

Got some parts in today. The wife wants remote start in the tahoe so this was the perfect birthday gift.

Also got some stuff to keep hitting at the tahoes 100k service. Plugs, wires, and some t case fluid. It probably doesn't need wires but the last few 5.3s that I've done have had super brittle wires.

.
Saw this on the Tapatalk preview and misread it as, "Got some parts into the wife today."

Added TXBlazer's led mirror inserts. AF/RR.

Broke one of the clips on the mirror lens so will have to figure out what to use. Maybe some silicone. It stays on well but just so it doesn't get overloaded with moisture.

The stock setup is anything but watertight.

Did you happen to dremel the dust cover to allow it to fit with TXBlazer's insert or did you toss it?
I did not do that. I still have them so I'll have to do that.

Left it lonely and miserable in the underground parking, with a full tank of gas even! It hates me today.....

Definitely hold on to them. Most of the dremeling that needs done is towards the end that slides into the lens. It is not weather tight, but it will help with keeping bugs, dust, and dirt out of there for the most part. I will take a pic of mine and post them for reference.

A pic would be great. I figured I'd keep them just in case. Glad I did.

My POS battery needed jumping from my bud's crappy dodge stratus, which my truck almost killed his after multiple attempts at starting mine. Theeeen of coarse I needed gas to get home so I needed ANOTHER jump at the gas station, which once again took multiple attempts to work. My truck is definitely not starting tomorrow, I need a ride now.... Fml

One of mine got knocked off and a clip broken. I used a small piece of 3M double sided tape, and it's held nicely. Still easily removable when I get around to replacing it.

Thanks! Hopefully I don't mess something up. I'll post some things along the way
I baked mine at 200 for 20 minutes and got them open fairly easily :twocents:

Drove the envoy into work today because the the two roads closest to our building usually never get plowed so I was going to have some fun, but it must've been so cold last night that hell froze over. They actually plowed. Oh well

Started wiring my amp last night. Pulled it into my aunts garage and had a few spot lights on and a 1500 watt heater. 13 outside 50 in the garage. Also attempted to start the vett but that battery does not like the cold, good voltage, just couldn't turn, so I left the charger on.
It took too long, since I forgot the snake and electrical tape at home. However I am proud of myself for getting the 4 gauge through the rubber grommet without a snake.

Where are you mounting your amp? When I ran my 4 gauge, I went down the driver's side door sills, since my amp is in the cargo area behind the side panel.

It's down the door sill, but I am putting the amp under the drivers seat, so I ran it across through that slot.

What's that coming out from under your console?

Finally dug my winter wiper blades out of the box they were packed in for the move and put them on the Voy. Also filled the wiper fluid up with winter fluid and grabbed some other winter related stuff.

Spent the last ten minutes trying to figure out why the ballasts wouldn't fire, I left the relay harness disconnected from the battery...

Finished the amp install, set the gains with the multimeter. I think I'll borrow my dad's friend's oscilloscope and do everything properly. Right now it's just 3/4 volume and ohms law. So it's scaled back some. I would like to milk every last bit out of it though so it's at it's best.
