Took it to the park behind me, there's a quarter inch of ice on the roads, engaged the 4wd and did burnouts behind the sierra.
Saw this on the Tapatalk preview and misread it as, "Got some parts into the wife today."MAY03LT said:20150106_230024.jpg
Got some parts in today. The wife wants remote start in the tahoe so this was the perfect birthday gift.

Same here. Hasn't been much over single digit temps this week so pretty much driving on glacier.BlazingTrails said:Drove it to work and took it easy this morning.
Did you happen to dremel the dust cover to allow it to fit with TXBlazer's insert or did you toss it?Im Blazed said:Yeah realized that when the lens's came out. Super wet and dirty.
I did not do that. I still have them so I'll have to do that.dmanns67 said:Did you happen to dremel the dust cover to allow it to fit with TXBlazer's insert or did you toss it?
Definitely hold on to them. Most of the dremeling that needs done is towards the end that slides into the lens. It is not weather tight, but it will help with keeping bugs, dust, and dirt out of there for the most part. I will take a pic of mine and post them for reference.Im Blazed said:I did not do that. A pic would be great. I figured I'd keep them just in case. Glad I did.dmanns67 said:Definitely hold on to them. Most of the dremeling that needs done is towards the end that slides into the lens. I have seen anywhere from 200*F to 250*F. I baked open my fog lights at 250*Fkjkim93 said:About to bake my headlights. What temp is good to start at?!
Thanks! Hopefully I don't mess something up. I'll post some things along the waydmanns67 said:I have seen anywhere from 200*F to 250*F. I baked open my fog lights at 250*F
One of mine got knocked off and a clip broken. I used a small piece of 3M double sided tape, and it's held nicely. Still easily removable when I get around to replacing it.Im Blazed said:Broke one of the clips on the mirror lens so will have to figure out what to use. Maybe some silicone. It stays on well but just so it doesn't get overloaded with moisture.
I baked mine at 200 for 20 minutes and got them open fairly easilykjkim93 said:Thanks! Hopefully I don't mess something up. I'll post some things along the way
There's these places called parts stores that you can go buy a battery at ya knowCapote said:My POS battery needed jumping from my bud's crappy dodge stratus, which my truck almost killed his after multiple attempts at starting mine. Theeeen of coarse I needed gas to get home so I needed ANOTHER jump at the gas station, which once again took multiple attempts to work. My truck is definitely not starting tomorrow, I need a ride now.... Fml
What's that coming out from under your console?littleblazer said:It's down the door sill, but I am putting the amp under the drivers seat, so I ran it across through that slot.
Oh, those are the RCAs.Blckshdw said:What's that coming out from under your console?
