This goes in the bcm connectors in the fuse box under the rear seat. Only thing that sux with our lwb, is we have to take the rear seat completely out to access the whole fusebox

Went to Wal-Mart and picked up some oil for an oil change. Trying something new. Instead of using M1 5w-30...I thought id try M1 0w-40 Euro blend. Since winters here are usually cold as fuq the oil can thin out a bit easier for the cold start ups. My oil life indicator says 30% oil life remaining. I usually dont let it get down that low. Sooooo....maybe next weekend I can get at it.

That's ATE.
Can be found online, but I got them half price from part source here in canada.
Mated them with Akebono ceramic pads.

If you get a chance, could you check to see if that company has front brakes (rotors and pads) for a Chevy S – 10 with the following specs? If so could you let me know or pass the info to Chris (Darkrider_LS)? He is also in Canada and of course the shipping/customs/exchange rate from the US is often pretty high.

Punched that vehicle info into canadian tire web site for you guys.
Seems ATE only has pads for the first gens.

Can get rotors and pads for the second gens though.
Hope this helps.

Enjoyed driving it for almost 12 hours, covered 280 hwy miles, and 60+ on muddy logging roads. We're back home, happy, safe, and dirty.

Carlos swung by today to do some tinkering on his XUV. Driver's side low beam connector had melted, so he picked up a 9006 pigtail at Autozone. I gave him a crash course on how to solder with some scrap wire, and let him splice in the new connector.

His passenger side bumper mount, which had been previously broken off (plastic welds), and epoxied back in place, had been knocked loose in a fender bender a couple months back. So I had him pick up some JB Weld on the way over. Popped the bumper off, scuffed up the mating surfaces, applied plenty of epoxy and clamped the mount in place. After it set, we applied more epoxy on top of the mount's feet, and around the seams, we'll see how that holds up over time.

Transmission is still not in. For some reason it will not line up properly in order to egt all the bolts in. Looks like I'm conceding tonight and going to take a fresh crack at it tomorrow after work.

Were you nervous drilling into your hood? I wrapped electrical tape around the drill bit to make sure I did not drill through the top of the hood. Thats all I would have needed :duh:

In case you did not know, the hood prop can be removed with a little pressure from a screw drive. Its some what of a press fit, but it will pop right out.

Took mine back to the body shop that did the crash repairs for the last few small things that they had to wait on for parts. I now have a functioning washer reservoir, the 2 small corner struts on the front bumper fascia, a new drivers side fog lamp, and their "correct and legal" headlight aiming. I couldn't see more than 75 ft before the pattern hit the pavement on low beams when I first got it back from them. After their "fix", I got maybe another 50 ft. That doesn't cut it at freeway speeds in traffic, so I got out some tools and set it up in my parking garage, according to the directions in the Haynes manual, 2" below the bulb centre at 25' for the low beam cut-off line. MUCH better! I* left the fog lamp aiming for another day, I didn't feel like laying on the cold concrete floor to reach under the bumper to feel for the adjuster bolt tonight :lipsrsealed: The shop did wash off all the logging road mud I plastered on it over the weekend, and vacuumed the interior
