GM actually had a recall on the fuel gauge sensor. I received the recall in the mail about 6 months ago. GM would cover 50% of the cost until my vehicle reached 120,000 miles. Then it was all on me. I think it only cost me about $125 at the stealership (paying 50%) I would check and see if the recall is out for your TB as well.

I did :sadcry:
that's a no-go for me :duh:

Anyways the most gas ive gotten in her was 17.5 gallons which leads me to believe i might have a 18 gallon tank? Weird

Yeah this is a common thing with GM cars I have noticed. My sisters Malibu and my TB and my old Buick all, even if the gauge was PAST the empty line, never put the full capacity. I think its a buffer so that when it hits E u don't run out in 5 miles.. I drove it for almost 40 miles with my light on :what: and still ended up putting only like 19.8 gallons into it

You can get just the fuel level sensor out of Rockauto for 25 or so dollars. Just did it myself for the second time. First time I put the whole unit in delphi pump and sensor and it lasted just out of warranty. This time I put in a Dormans level sensor so I will see if it lasts any longer. Not hard to do just take you time and get a few extra clips for the gas lines. Two different sizes to make it more interesting. Have fun.

well I attempted to change the front diff oil last Thursday. loosened the drain plug no problems, drained it out. smelled and was nasty. then went to get the fill plug loose. uh oh. I could not break the sucker loose. I snapped an adapter trying to. I thought great. I am leaving for Tennessee tomorrow and I am not going to be able to get oil in it. well I loosened the breather line on top of the diff and managed to get some oil through that hole. I think I got it 1/3 to 2/3 full. had no problems on the trip, and 4wd still works so I pretty sure it is at a safe level, but taking it into the shop this Saturday to have them break the fill plug loose and top it off. lesson learned though. see if you can break fill plug loose before draining oil.

I may have found a good condition matching green liftgate at a junkyard via car-part.com for only $250 :wootwoot:

Would be even better if it came with glass too, since mine has wiper marks and the defrost doesn't work.

*edit* well... I just looked up the yard on google and they have some pretty bad reviews. Hrm. Figures. I did a search for other parts too and they claim to have "perfect" everything for the truck in nearly every color. Rear doors for $150, front for $200, liftgate for $250, all "perfect". Quite a steal but I have my doubts that every single door they have is "perfect."

Too bad they weren't closer, if they were nearby I'd stop in just to look, but 100 mile round trip and less than stellar reviews makes me leery.

Tinted my fog lights yellow. Will post pictures later. If anyone needs yellow tint let me know as I only needed a few sprays and I had a really hard time finding this stuff haha.

Where is the yard at? Maybe someone is local who would drop by to help ya out. Get some pictures for you to see the "real" condition.

Thanks guys! I actually didn't do a really precise job on the grille. I bought another one to see if I could do it better with a dremmel, which I think will be a better cut, so I will probably be selling this one. It wasn't to hard to do, and I really wish they would just make some like this already. Haha.

You missed a hell of a deal. When I bought mine to install my projectors, the set of LT headlights was $330 shipped (DEPO, $150 a piece). I have seen them all the way up to $200 a piece.

Thats what I get for waiting. He had them up for $170 and they didn't sell. Sent a message offering $125 shipped, and he relisted them when I wasn't home for $135 shipped. I was not happy. Haha.

Yeah for some reason your current style headlights are 1/3 the price of LT sytle and I am not sure why. Same basic design except no cut out for the grille.

Also, it appears the only aftermarket LT headlights are all OEM style. Which is not a big deal because you are better off doing retrofit any ways versus what is sold on ebay for the other style headlights.

finally got around to fixing the broken console cover
could have just put something sturdy between the skeleton and the rubber cover, but I figured I had all this fiberglass laying around...I might as well :raspberry:
after getting it apart, I realized how bad it was
2013-06-14152321.jpg

So, I grabbed a piece of scrap fabric, stretched it tight across the piece, taped it down, and went to work
2013-06-14170559.jpg

filed it down relatively smooth (considering the ribbed texture of the inside of the rubber cover, did't have to really worry about it being "smooth" just knocked down the big parts and I can't feel any of it on the inside) <insert witty comment here...lol

hit it with a coat of black spray paint, and put the cover back on.

Because I had an almost empty can of paint sitting there, and knew it wouldn't be enough for any other project. And, if I ever (or anyone else) takes the cover back off, I'd rather it look half-way decent by being black like the actual piece was. Other than that? Shits and giggles

@ConeKilrAutoX That's pretty cool, even though I don't understand half of what you're saying.

Tonight I turned my car on, and didn't hold the key on start quite as long as I usually do, and the start felt rough and the check engine light came on. I looked at my gauges to see if anything was jumping out at me, and oil gauge was directly on 0. I turned the car off as soon as I saw that. I checked under the car with my flashlight, but it was bone dry. Turned it back on, making sure to hold the key on start for extra long, and the oil gauge went back to normal and no check engine light. Very weird.

Also noticed that may right rear tail light has moisture condensation on the inside of it. Not sure how to get at that one (it's a stock light).

Does your TB not start automatically by turning the key forward once to the start position and then releasing? I assumed this was a standard feature on the TB/Envoy.

Cleaned the cold air intake and throttle body, including polishing the throttle body plate. It shines like new and I notice a big increase in throttle response... way more than just from cleaning the TB before. I polished it with a Mother's powerball and just used some cleaner wax and it took all the embedded grime right out.
