Been trying to find a leak on the drivers side. I only get water on the floor board when it rains heavily and for a long time. I tried getting it to "leak" in the power wash to see where the water was getting in from, and had no luck. It's been raining here for almost 3 days straight, and my floor and mat is once again soaked. I'd like to find the cause to it before next week....when more rain comes.

I checked the sun roof and it's dry, I don't think it would be coming from vents because as far as I know they are closed, unless they are stuck in the open position. This is really aggravating.

I haven't...but I can do that later today when the kids are napping or when Mat get's up. It is mainly in the center of the floor and under the driver's seat.

I suggest pulling the "A" pillar trim to see if you have water there. If you do then look to the sunroof drains. Not so much for being plugged , but for the hose coming loose from the track assy. If it is loose I use a zip tip as a clamp to hold it on. You will have to drop the headliner a bit, but at most I remove the sunvisor for that side. If your hands are small you may not need to do that even.

I have also seen the plastic liner behind the door panel come unsealed at the bottom and let water in that way. Rare but it does happen.
The HVAC box and drain are on the passenger side so that would be wet first if the drain gets clogged.

Voymom there is a thread on this subject a while ago. Check the A pillar. Take the moulding on the out side A pillar off and check that there is goop of some kind on the threads for the moulding. Blow compressed air from the inside out around the windshield feeling for air leaks. If nothing yet check below the bottom windshield moulding by removing the wipers and screws and try again. Good luck and keep us posted.

didn't you just get a new motor recently too? Your situation is almost like mine (minus me coming out of pocket for things), but now that my warranty is up, I've had my drivers door regulator go out, AAT sensor go out, headlights go out, and just found out the dealer broke my header panel and never put back my AAT sensor from the motor swap :hissyfit:...

i think our rides are haunted :rotfl:

Cut out the slats in the bumper where the foglights would be and put mesh in behind. Then drove her to take my son fishing for his first time. He is 3 and he caught his first two fish, which was more than anyone else in our family that was there!

Started trying to salvage the interior in the new beast. Also added a cheap little system. Decent JVC head unit, and....since I had a AutoZone gift cards, a Dual amplifier and a 10" sub in a ported box. It ain't a show winner.....I still have yet to design that, but it does perform well and doesn't take a lot of space.
Before and after:

Put LEDs into my side mirror markers, gunna take off the last remaining envoy emblem on the trunk to keep people guessing what kind of truck i have

Previous owner glued the driver side orange marker to the mirror so i had to take the cap off to change the bulb
Might have to sand and gloss the mirror covers now that i know how to take them off
(Without the forums i wouldnt know how to do half of the stuff i've done but wouldnt of spent half the money either...... Love hate relationship forsure lol)

That grille looks awesome

Thanks! I wanted this grille for a long time, but I didn't want to buy a new bumper, so I figured I would finally bite the bullet and buy it and try to trim it to fit. I figured once I get the bottom trimmed evenly, I will take black door guard molding across the bottom to give it a more finished look. I also have a broken TBSS crossbar grille (just the pieces that go through the headlights), and it happens to be gloss black, so I will be trimming them up as well, and putting them on the headlights so it looks more finished. I just have to remember where I put them, as I bought them a few years ago thinking I would use them right away. And I was lucky to find that emblem at the car show, and it only cost me $3. I repainted it and refinished it, and to be honest, came out better than I imagined. I glued it to the grille, as there was no other way to attach it, but you can't see any of the glue, and the emblem isn't going anywhere lol.

Definitely keep us updated! would love to see what it looks like when you get those ss headlight pieces on, but coming alon very nice
Might have to go find myself a old style GMC logo :raspberry:
... (Edit) nevermind not a fan of the old gmc emblem at all hahaha i'll just stick a "4.2" audi emblem on the trunk where the "envoy" was

Well lighting I'm good with. Hid and LEDs In almost all of the lights. Probably clear corner mod.
Performance wise I'm saving up for a pcm4less tune. And try and get a reputable exhaust place to redo and change my exhaust. Getting a new car next year so not trying to do too much

I'd go with the HID's but I'm on the fence regarding the utilizing of a DRL killer or just running them at 100% all the time... :undecided:

I scored that bar from a guy on the OS for a pretty good deal - can't complain... I'm thinking about taking the tow hooks out and painting them too..
I need to get a hitch step tho... just to balance out the whole look...

I was thinking of making them chrome too... something to add a bit of pop to the front end...

Speaking of which, I need for you to paint my calipers... I was thinking of a glossy black as that would match the tinted windows...
What'cha think??

I have a year of experience with bmws and 500hrs experience with ttc fleet vehicles and armoured money trucks though :raspberry:
