Over the last 2 days, still counts right?

Been a busy couple days. One of my friends hooked me up with some Nexen tires, then the place I took it to for mount and balance was trying to upsell me on everything the guy could think of lmao

Something look different?

Took off the running boards, got a little project before the a car show coming up.

Removed the top pads, used a razor blade to get down to bare plastic to shave the holes.

Plastic welded from the back, then the front.

Almost done with one side

Halfway there

Just needs a little plastic filler then sand and paint.

One of my friends going to finish up with the plastic filler, then spray them for me.

Today I concluded that all has been dry under the truck for 2 weeks now and went ahead an re-installed the skid plates. Prior to that I dropped 50lbs from the truck, I have driven for a year now without sway bars attached and decided that it was finally time to completely remove the front sway bar.

I also decided to get the back end up in the air and chase down a screech I have had for a couple weeks. There was a lot of mud and rock build up in the drivers side rotor. It looked like rocks were getting hung up on the emergency brake pad. I also went ahead and replaced the rear break pads, they were getting pretty low anyway. I did discover that one of the pins on the bracket that the caliper mounts to was frozen. After a few calls to the parts stores I discovered that I couldn't replace the bracket alone, they wanted to sell me the whole caliper with the bracket. Thankfully I happen to have a parts truck sitting on the side of the house so I cannibalized the bracket.

It took me 2 hours to take care of the drivers side, 15 minutes to change the passenger side. Grrrr what a PITA these trucks can be some times.

truck is running. had plugged the wrong wire into the vss sensor so the trans wouldn't shift. but the speedo still moved which was really weird. once i got it shifting, the shifts were later than they should have been due to the gearing in the 4l80 so I took the mph vs tps shift table from a 2500 truck and copied it over. shifts great now in part throttle but in WOT it will rev through the shift... gotta work on that... :undecided:

and FYI, if you think you can just solder an abs wire back together and it will work: it won't.

I finally made the call to remove the PCMFORLESS tune. I had Second gear firmness but the shiftness was way too hard.

There was a very loud clunk between shifts and my heart dropped every time feeling as if was about to lose my transmission.

As much as I miss the power but not about to die for! I might go for another tune later but would send in my original PCM to avoid the mysterious security relearn process my TB has.

Since its a Japanese import TB I would need to take it to the dealership for the procedure. Needless to say my smooth transmission is back now but was pissed when a 07 LT was flashing his lights in my rear view so had to take the side bench since he has more ponies than my 03 lol

Mat's truck decided to throw a CEL....got the code read and it was a P0303, switched everything over to Cylinder 2 and waited...got a P0302 last night so we are switching out the coil pack.

I still don't have Phantom back, the guy painting it came down with the same flu/stomach bug that made me rush my daughter to the ER last night. He is spraying tomorrow and I will definitely have him back Wednesday, I'm not going to rush him, but I do miss my truck.

Midnight is an 06 Trailblazer LS with a 5.3 and 90k. Picked her up today. Traded in the grey ghost. Will be putting in my HID's this weekend, holding off on putting the stereo back in until I get a new sub amp and the adapter to keep onstar.

Getting Phantom back this afternoon!!! Then I'm going to shampoo the inside and do a pretty decent interior detailing. I have missed my truck so much! I am so excited to see him.

2 weeks, a week longer than expected but I rather have him have the truck for 2 weeks and do it right than for him to rush through it in a week and have the truck back in there being fixed.

I wish I was without my truck for only 2 weeks

 I hope that's dirt, and not orange peel, that's making the reflection all blurry! :sadcry:

more than likely it is the camera and my freezing hands lol

Edited- Yes it's orange peel, no biggy as it will be getting fixed, plus it STILL looks 10 times better than the peeling clear coat. It's pretty mild orange peel actually, and aside from it being annoying close up, it doesn't hurt anything. I'm not to concerned over it.

Cool, Why not the 3"? If you need strut mounts that'll pay for the difference in price.

A guy I work with opened a sign shop, so I had him make this for me  I couldn't wait for warmer weather to put it on.
