dont use that brush on your new paint!!! :raspberry:, i would just hand wash it after a new paint job... but im anal like that... i dont like the car washes and avoid them at all costs...

I didn't think of that....I think for now on I will hand wash it at home.

Edit- Got the racks off the TB, did the DRL kill and quad beam mods, now working on removing the resonator. It is FREEZING outside which is why I am inside staying warm while Mat is out doing this stuff all on his lonesome.

did the passenger side upper ball joint, easy enough job

Quick tips:

use a pitman arm puller to separate the upper control arm from the steering knuckle
cut the shaft of the ball joint, use an angle grinder - makes it somewhat easier to press out
get an impact wrench - I used a cordless, makes it easier and faster
No specific cups - just see what works

Just look for one of the pressure laser washes. No brushes

Filled my tank for the first time since getting the bigger tires. MPGs was down to 14.2 from 15.8, of course that's a small sample set. I know I'm gonna have to get some unleaded driving shoes, cuz this was only probably 80% of a full tank on the new rubber :ugh:

Both HID's refused to fire and i dont have the right tools to take off my back seat to do the cap mod. I tried getting my hands in there, but the fit is too tight.

Flip the plug around that goes into the ballast. A lot of times, the connector is put on with the polarity reversed. I've seen that on a number of installs I've helped with.

You, sir, are my fricking hero...

oh yea, SMDs for the vanities...I have those in stock now too. Each one has 3 5050 chips and are a huge improvement.
They do cost a little more than average SMDs-not sure why-but they really are nice.

Doing this now actually an engine flush and headlight polish. It's very difficult to get your hands on the flush material locally it's mainly in shops else you need to purchase online. Not worth it $$$$

The polish was a bonus they're marketing a new product woohoo

I agree 100%. Not a lot of women understand or care about what it takes to keep a vehicle in tip top shape. Most of them think that all they have to do is drive them off the lot, wash them, and do a few oil changes throughout the year. My dad was a single father to 10 kids 9 of which were girls, I am the baby of the family. My dad does all his own work to his vehicles so we learned that there was more behind owning a vehicle.

My love for GM trucks or GM wasn't always there. I used to be all for foreign vehicles actually. I owned a Buick Rendezvous before my Envoy and SWORE up and down I would never own another American made vehicle after that.....until I seen the Envoy. I laid eye's on a TB and Envoy and it was love at first sight, and I was sold when I got in the drivers seat lol.

To stay on topic- I think I'm going to go try and visit Phantom later today and see how the paint progress is coming.

If you dont mind my asking, how much did you end up paying for the paint job? I'm considering going from pewter to glossy black.

Today I swapped out my oem rear view mirror for a new one with temp and compass. I think I screwed it up though. Temperature doesn't work right, I think I have the temp sensor wires opposite of the way they're supposed to go as the mirror say its -26f which it's not. Compass and auto dim work though. I'll try n fix it tomorrow along with install a new dome light.

I stayed with my factory color which saved me some money in the long run. I paid $1600 and that was also with repairing the few dents, rust spots under the doors and a bent front passenger fender. Had I wanted to do a different color I was looking at between $3000 to $4500.
