What came in your mail today?

Some replacement led bars for my in-bumper mounted drl's on the Silverado. Have had them almost a year, ran at all times the truck is on during daytime and finally lost one. Had some water get in, maybe that's the culprit or maybe heat got to the leds. Who knows but for $10 a piece I'm not too sad. Just sad I've gotta pull it all back apart to replace them.

Well, this is bureaucracy at its finest! From our trip last Xmas to Long Island. Postage to Canada came to $1.20 so total profit is $0.05 minus costs of the envelope, return envelope and the flyer to join EZpass as well as any labour involved. Heck, they probably owe me 💰. Lol!

$1.20! To throw the bag of mail over the crossing gate at Cornwall or Prescott?
What kind of scam is Canada Post running? LOL

Eventually, I want to get a reusable respirator, with cartridges you can swap out, but those may be tough to come by for a while, so I scooped up this disposable one.

Mainly wanted to be able to swap out the dust filters for fresh ones, which this one allows me to do since those are the ones that will get put to the most use. I have the cheaper fabric style respirators with the breathe vent, but they are a little too restrictive, so wanted to see if these are the same, or any better. I tend to get shortness of breath when shoveling or raking, and have to stop a lot more often to rest than I'd like, so chores take longer. :hopeless:

Three guesses as to what I'll be doing (on the Sierra) this weekend?

You could strip it, (and the color match it? :undecided: ) but they should have gotten it right in the first place.

Not sure how stripping would work on plastic chrome, but they say they will exchange it. However, they also show that the black is now out of stock. I really want it cause otherwise it is 20 more for a black one anywhere else

Nice, but it is boxed up and headed back in about 30 minutes

Hard to find military grade Cosmoline, I spray my snow plow cylinders with it for outdoor summer storage. Great stuff for spare parts storage and undercoating though, a little pricey for that... 😷

Warranty replacement impact adapter from tekton. Broke the 1/2 to 3/8 adapter (who hasn't broken one?) and contacted them for warranty and they sent me the whole 4 piece set! I'm blown away. I mean, they're cheap enough but still, that's some reassuring service from the brand that I've decked my roll cart out in hand tool wise.

Also received ph0, ph1, ph2, and ph3 1/4 bit sockets I bought with rewards credit I had with them from buying directly through their website. Never thought I'd need or use Phillips bit sockets, only took me one time of using a bit adapter to go buy some. I hate dealing with 1/4 hex bits for some reason.

Can you tell me if those are interchangeable with the earlier models?
They are! I currently have one from a 2004or2005. You have to have the trim pieces to match for it to fit correctly. I'm about to post pics of the swap in the "what did you do to your gmt today" thread.

Yesterday I rolled into the office and my order from rock came in. Ignition switch and vent solenoid for the TB. I paid for the absolute cheapest shipping rate and they were spot on that it would take 2 weeks to arrive. Still, the order was a shit ton cheaper than from amazon.

New drivers side Mevotech TTX TRE. I'll get it on sometime this week so I can get the alignment done on Saturday.

No, not doing half of my LL8, it's for the head on my sled. Head gasket, valve seals, valve cover gasket, chain tensioner seal, a suspension spindle cover and a complementary lanyard.

Yesterday a trans mount for the Silverado, carb and pump for brothers golf cart, Gearwrench pick set, and a set of wheel bolt alignment studs.

Today, denso compressor and acdelco accumulator/dryer for the Silverado. Got a liquid line w/ both service ports and orifice tube coming tomorrow since the high port started leaking after I did an ac service a month ago, the cap stops the leak but I don't roll like that lol.

Direct from the land of 'Rona. An Android 10 HU with a backup camera and USB dash cam.

And from Amazon, some nifty T style wire taps.

Going into your PPV?

Nah, in the TB. Wish I could but it's integrated into the HVAC.

Water softener unit. Tired of the terrible mineral buildup. Our water hardness is 17 grains, almost as hard as my old well water and this is a city water supply. Not looking forward to the higher water bill from regen cycles but whatever.
