Tired of using the heavy old window A/C compressor as a vacuum pump (which actually worked quite well) so I got me one of these made with the very best chinesium. Came in yesterday. For $120CAD on Amazon.ca, wasn't a bad deal.

And today...

Guess what I'll be working on soon?

A/C Parts for the Saab. Also got a set of ACDelco Durastop pads. I'll be reusing the new rotors I had installed on the '02 EXT just before the tranny died.

Funny thing though, despite the Canadian dollar worth as much as the Mexican Peso and the shipping, it was still cheaper to get the A/C parts from RockAuto in the US that buying locally or even Amazon Canada. I did get the pads from Amazon though.

I will be installing this in my MH, I've had it with the noisy pos clutch fan. These 95-98 Lincoln Mark VIII 2-speed fans are so awesome that they are now reproduced by Dorman and others. I've used them before and they are a beast (2907 cfm on high). http://www.ebay.com/itm/192017075550?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Please do post an article on these. Even I might be interested. (Here I go back in the Kool-Aid).

Here is a Mustang installation of this fan, but it can be applied to any vehicle. You will never find one in a junkyard (this is an old article).
The Dorman unit is a great copy of it and much cheaper. Place this info in it's proper spot.

Looking forward to this.

Thought I'd throw in this link, it's the cfm ratings for the oem setup. Granted it's on the OS but it is good info. Link

Got a 3 pound jug of microbial concrete cleaner. The previous residents left plenty of oil stains on the driveway and in the garage. I'm not tryin to be scrubbing and pressure washing, so I'll try this first. Got good reviews on Amazon, and the before and after pics folks posted is exactly what I'm after.

Also came today, a replacement headband cushion for my Beats. It's aftermarket and was cheap, so I got what I paid for. The color is a little lighter than it should be, and it doesn't fit flush on the ends, but that's OK. As long as it stays in place, and they stay on my head when in use, that's all that matters at this point.

hands down the single most EXPENSIVE computer part I've ever bought (i've bought whole computers for more, but never an individual part), still got a STEAL on it though, I ordered it off Jet.com and last week the Cashback website/app Ibotta had a 15% (normally 1.5%) cashback (limit 100 dollars max) so I stacked that with 1.5% cashback from my Credit Card and the 20 dollar off code from Jet so after cashback I scored it for $583

Excellent choice man, if I had a gaming desktop setup i'd get a 1080 as well. I have an Asus gaming laptop, so i'm stuck with an GTX860m.

More TBSS parts

thats what i'm actually upgrading from, an Asus ROG G750JM-DS71 with the 860m and thats the 1080 TI, not the regular 1080, got it installed tonight and managed to pull a 2050 OC (+150 offset on the clock), I still need to get a case, i'm using the shell of my 15ish year old PC case to hold the parts till I find the right case that meets all my criteria (this is my first personal desktop build in like a decade and will likely be the last, hence going all out with the BEST model card you can get).

Actually came in on Friday. Love Amazon :loveintheair:

A bass sub tube for the TB. Just an 8" but just wanted a little more bass, not turn my brain to mush like my son's dual 12", LOL! Will use plugs so I can remove it when I need the space.

A 2TB external eSata HD to use with my PVR I picked up at a garage sale for $50. DSC_0541.JPG

And adapters for my old R12 A/C manifold gauge set. My old adapters were no longer making a good seal with the R134a vehicle connections. DSC_0542.JPG

It is nowhere near any cup holder. And I hate the cup holders in the Saab. Just a small one in front and that useless piece of garbage in the dash. When I'm in the Saab, I so miss the Big Gulp holder!

And in keeping with the topic, today I got.... Nothing. Not even a bill.

Fast bright ballast from Amazon to replace the one that crapped on me a while back. Not real happy with it, all kinds of sticky black shit on it, I'm guessing poor clean up of excess potting material. Half tempted to return it and half tempted to run it.

got this stuff last week, the bronze 6x12 vents and the 12x12 insulated box that the white return air grille is attached to (couldn't find a matching return grille), got some other parts coming so I can finish up the HVAC alterations of the remodel.

edit: also was informed the other day my brake light was out on the passenger side so I took it out on Wednesday and saw the top screw was rusted off and stuck in the housing and the top socket of the "circuit board" that makes up the tail lights was partially MELTED, so instead of messing with it I just replaced the whole unit with a new DEPO part

Forgot to post this the other day, some TBSS air vents. I already have the ones in my truck flat black vinyl painted like my center console is, but I want everything to look as OEM as possible.

A pretty big, nondescript, cardboard box. Just so happened to have a Samsung 65" 4K in it for me   Only about 50 pounds, but a little awkward to get out of the box by myself.

View attachment 81245

Straight up bachelor pad right there, TV WAY to big for the TV stand and shit just tossed all around it, I'm debating going to 65" but it means moving the TV from the alcove I just built for it to over the fire place and waiting on the LG OLED models to get cheaper, not doing another 4k TV till I can do OLED, I want those absolute blacks.

a pair of these Ikea floor lamps they got 3 LED bulbs each so they only draw 8.7-8.8 watts per 3 bulb lamp assembly, assembly was super easy, like 5 mibutes each, barely needs instructions, had to order them online as Ikea Atlanta was out of them when I went last week and it was cheaper to overpay online then to drive the 150ish mile round trip.

also got this guy when I was at ikea last week. it's going to go in the center of the living room tray ceiling when everything is said and done
