Great show at 8th and I. Silent drill platoon, President's own, and the Commandant's own were awesome. Ran into General Amos in the Center House. Second time I have met him, but he actually remebered meeting me in Afghanistan. Did not see SgtMaj though.
Now I am waiting for the wife and mother in law to stand in line to get cupcakes from DC Cupakes. The line was wrapped around the building lol. I like ordering them online way better.

Watched my step son and my nephews open up there little league football season. My step son plays for the Eagles
and my nephews play for the Buccaneers I'm glad they aren't on the Texans team because then we would have a prob lol or any team in the AFC South other than my Jags

Spent the weekend with the family and with the LOML's best friend with her 2 kids. All had a blast and especially spent some one on one time with my son before his first day of kindergarten.
Hard to believe it's his last day of the "easy times" before he retires. His sister going into kindergarten was tough, this is tougher.

Driving a Lexus!
Wifey's Montero sport is in the shop for a couple days and the guys we use have a fleet of a few used loaner cars that they let the customers borrow if they are going to need to keep the vehicle.
We ended up with a 2000 Lexus ES300(I know, I know, a fancy Camry). Very nice (but obviously dated) vehicle. I have never had the opportunity before today to drive one, but even with 164,xxx miles on her she runs like a top. Pulls very hard and is quiet as can be. A very nice vehicle, and if I'm ever in a pinch and need a good used car for cheap I would certainly consider one...

That's what I have done the past 2 days they gave me 3 days off because I was forced to work the holiday, all I have done is successfully spent more money and watched movies.

About to use it as a grocery-getter. Sometimes, when I meet my wife and the store, I like to approach her like we've never spoke and I try to "pick her up" in the open presence of others. She loves it.
She still hasn't been cool with me randomly re-proposing any and everywhere for the reactions of others in public, lol. Free dessert at the restaurant anyone

I thought I was the only one who did this. When me and the wife go to a bar, she sits at the bar and someone will usually buy her drinks and then she will bring the drink back to me
. Later I will go up and introduce myself and invite her to come sit with us. This worked very well in college. Definitely pissed off a lot of people though

Going to pick up some Enkei 16x8" wheels that came on some guys Sequoia. Thanks Kyle for the adapters, I have found more decently priced sets of wheels in the last week then ever.
On another note, missed out on a set of 265/75-16 with OEM Z71 wheels for under $100, 2 tires had been put on about a month ago, the other 2 5 months ago. Was not about to start a bidding war with someone who might not exist.
