I'm going crazy at work. Some guys changed stuff without letting the rest of us know, so now user IDs/passwords/software licenses/etc are all screwed up.

LOL and I thought i was going nuts trying to get this script to work on the MDT tasks.

Took kids swimming and they asleep early for once! DVR time.

Back in the cube farm for awhile....

On the job waiting for call backs now..

Working...or rather pretending to cause I don't want the work left to be assigned this week.

Really hoping the phones are quiet today. By myself in here again and yesterday kinda sucked.

Looks like I have joined the club of people at work, not really wanting to work, and hoping people at work don't get on our last damn nerve.

Got an old head in here recently hired, who is buddies with one of the owners, who's been asking me for help with a small marketing project. Built him a small desktop database to keep track of contacts, some form letters, and envelopes to make printing stuff out easier. His computer literacy levels are pretty low, so there's a lot of basic stuff he doesn't understand. Throw in an application built based on what he said, and not what he meant... Well you can imagine how much fun this is. :ugh:

Is it Friday yet?

last day here of inventory in Fort Collins, can't wait to get back home...the past 5 days have gone so slow

Well I am at work...

Yes, it is my Friday...

Meeting the producers of "Finding Bigfoot" here in BC this afternoon. Some buddies and I are involved in the subject, and the show is doing a local episode, so I may get my "15 minutes" of fame. ;-)

Phase 1 of moving into the new place today. Did a quick walk through this morning, shut off the main breaker for electric service startup, and made sure all the faucets were off for water startup. Met up with the agent to give her the lock box back, and June's rent. Mentioned to her that there was a small problem with the master bathroom. Can you tell what it is?

Went back there on my lunch break to see if the services were on yet. Blue note on the door from the city, water leak detector was tripped, so they didn't leave the water on. :hissyfit: I forgot to check the exterior spigots... :duh: Walked the perimeter, found 2 of them, but they were closed. Turns out I forgot to turn off the supply valves to the toilets... Lifted the tank lids and

Should be fun flushing that stuff from the pipes for a while.

Will be going back after work to do some cleaning. Lotsa dead bugs everywhere from when they bombed it. Gonna lay down some bug spray on the exterior and along the baseboards indoors to keep them out, or dead if they try to come in.

Working in the cube. Then pick-up some homemade pork rub for some boston butts I am smoking for the holiday weekend. Then mow the grass. Then out to drink beer and swim at the mother-in-laws new pool with my kids. Then keep drinking til Tuesday....or something like that.

Golf and then grillin and chillin.

Made the first run of stuff to the new place. Every time I move, I remember why I bought an EXT

Need to handle a few minor issues. One of the toilet chains was in the bottom of the tank, in about 5 pieces. Closet wire shelving configuration ain't gonna do it for me, so gonna have to take that down, and see if I can piece meal things together better. The vertical blinds in both bedrooms are jacked up, multiple pieces don't rotate when the rod is twisted. And the ceiling fan in the living room, which has a remote, worked for about 5 minutes, then went dead. Nice!!

Later on, planning to have a UFC mini meet with JimmyJam, Triz, Saze, and Kurupt. Haven't had the whole gang together in quite a while. Hopefully everybody shows this time.

Blowing the dust off of the new rear diff cover and gear oil for my Tahoe. They've only been sitting in my shop for 3 months LOL.

Then I'm getting pics for the nissan 2.5 engine parts I'm selling.

Then I'm loading up my pickup for a scrap yard run on Tuesday.

Then I will be cake.

Yup, 35 years ago. That's why they wanted to talk to me. I'll probably get a couple of seconds on-screen at the "Townhall" meeting.

This will be a 2 hour special, to compare how "Squatchy" BC is relative to Wa State, probably airing this fall.

Cool, I'll look out for you. A few years back we had this unearthly howling outside my house, even since then you can hear them every so often in the woods across the road at night when Im out with the german shepherds. When I mean unearthly howl, its crazy sounding, nothing like I have ever heard and Ive lived out in the middle of the country my whole life.

Waffle House. Lil shopping. Work on basement.

Laundry, clean, drain, fill fish tank, go to the in-laws and help with some garden stuff then work at Lowes 5-10.

Last day of teaching a ham radio class

Slinging pizza then mobile patrol shift this evening.

Made a run to the new crib this morning to do some cleaning, take some measurements, and haul some more stuff. Tweaked my back in the process, stupid bin of linens and towels :hissyfit:

Came home, took some ibuprofen and relaxed for a bit. Then Carlos and I went over to a friend's place for some grilling. Had steaks, chicken, corn on the cob, potatoes, with some macaroni salad, potato salad, slaw, and some drinks. Rain held off for about 5 hours, so a great afternoon, especially when my back stopped hurting. Gotta love meds yes

Borrowed a 6 foot ladder, and went back to the new crib. Changed a recessed light that was out in the ceiling, and rearranged the wire shelving in the master bedroom from this (how is this even useful if you have a lot of clothes to hang? Hell it's not even level :hopeless:)

To this... Much mo betta. And all I had to do was buy a couple of side wall brackets for support. Was able to recycle the existing parts.

On the way home, got caught by a train. Conductor was on something. He stopped here, nowhere near a station, and sat there for 5 minutes. Pulled forward a bit, and stopped again. Sat there for a while. Then threw it into reverse, and backed up a couple hundred feet. Stopped and sat again. He continued the train dance for about 20 more minutes before I lost patience, utilized the ground clearance of my SUV and hopped the median to take an alternate route.

That looks and sounds all too familiar. Where was this at?

Reluctantly back in the cube today. Glad for a short work week. Don't have any real work on my plate, so I'll try to make up something to pass the time.
