Don't have to be in to work until 9, having time in the morning is weird....

Fiance and I started discussing getting a new to us vehicle, since I'm basically due and would like to stop the heavy use on the Voy a bit so I can build it. Someone we ended up talking about trading in her car (I hate it) and getting her something new. Which of course inhibits me lol funny how that works out. Happy wife happy life I guess

Working away in the cube. It's nice to have stuff to do

It's been years, so I ordered some Girl Scout cookies from one of my coworkers. I could feel myself gaining weight as I filled out the order sheet. I will have to steer clear of Kyle's clean eating thread for about 2 months once they get here :raspberry:

Red on all the back-lit items, everything else is just stock colors, like turn signal, high beam, indicators. I may change the auto light indicator colors on the headlight switch but I haven't got to that one yet so we will see. but I will post some pics of the finished product when I am done.

:2thumbsup:
Did you de-blue the cluster?

Worked a weirdly enjoyable shift at the shop today, did a little of everything...ran the small Blanchard grinder, my usual mill, and one of the lathes. And just got back from a nice little workout with some of my track athletes

Hit up the park after work for some hoops. They built a new building that has some indoor courts, that were supposed to open in December. So I rolled over there to check it out. Head into the gym to see this...

 Umm, that ain't gonna work!! Went back to the outdoor courts, where a couple of the rec center staff were watching some of the after school kids. Asked them what was up, and they said they used to put the rims down on Tuesday nights, Thursday nights, and Saturday mornings. But they changed it, and it's just Saturday mornings from 9am to noon. Hello? WTH is the point of having them, if you're not going to make them available, almost EVER?!? :hissyfit:

At my local tire shop getting my battery and alternator tested. Trying to figure out why the electrical charging system light came on with a rough start. Did not find any loose connections or corrosion.

Apparently the Duck Dynasty guys are moving into the offroad tire business :blinkhuh: Will post pic later.

Running a couple more errands then heading into work.

Had an interesting commute this morning. I'll preface this by saying while I'm not as aggressive with my driving habits as some, you'll never have to worry about me being "in your way" on the roads. On a major (3 lane) road, I was in the left lane behind 3 other cars cruising along at 5 over. No one was behind me for about 6 car lengths, and then I see a white Malibu whip out of the center lane into the left, and run up on me like I slapped his wife or something. He started flashing his high beams so fast, I had to pause thinking he was a cop or something, but nope... He dropped back a couple car lengths, flashed at me for a couple of seconds again. The car that was in the center lane just behind me slowed down, and this jack ass jumped over there thinking he could pass. Someone up ahead had brake checked and the whole center lane slowed down to about 35.

Then some woman in a late model Carolla runs up on me doing the same thing with her high beams, and honking her horn.
wtf.gif
So now I'm confused and wondering if my truck is on fire, I'm dragging a dead body off the trailer hitch, or something. She cuts off a truck in the center lane, who was in front of the guy in the Malibu, to try and get around. Both of them still flashing their lights at people. No idea if they had a real emergency, you had to take that road to get to one of the area hospitals, or if it was a case of telepathic road rage. Was really wishing I had built that quad camera DVR system for the truck.

Anyway... Now I'm in the cube, working away. In light of learning one of my other early bird coworkers has left the company, that reduces the number of people with keys and the alarm code down to 2, and one of them travels fairly often. So if the other person is late, or out sick, I'd end up having to wait around for like an hour until the next person with keys shows up  So I think I'll be asking my boss for a key to the office and the alarm code. Guess we'll see how much trust they have in me :satan: Although it'll be 6 years next month, so shouldn't be a problem really.

After work, will chill at the crib for a bit, before kicking off the weekend with a dinner/movie date night. Sucks that we're supposed to have heavy thunderstorms starting this afternoon, and going all night. That won't be fun to drive in. :ugh:

Dang. Did you hide the dead hooker you were dragging or just leave him out there to ripen up?

Today I am in the cube farm and hoping to get a good workout at the gym after.

Working, loaded with lathe work today. Doing all the initial work and detailing on a slew of small soon to be seal holders before I toss them in my mill to cut the cool little pockets. Also, waiting on my buddy to text me and let me know what time he wants to work out today. He has been trying to get me to go to a tryout this Sunday for a new local semi pro team. I'm still on the fence

Well found out the alternator is good, but the battery had less than 50% of the cold cranking amps that it should which is why the electrical system charging light came on the dash. $125 later I have a new Interstate 85 battery WITHOUT showing an ID

As promised the Duck Commander offroad tires.

Just got home from working out with two of my buddies. On the way home I was a approaching a light that turned green before I was close enough to stop and just as I entered the intersection, a gentlemen driving a Miata ran the red going across from my drivers side right in front of me. I don't even know how I missed him, went right into survival mode. Car behind had enough time to stop an lay on the horn. About shit myself, but right after I felt kind badass lol would've been pissed if i would've wrecked Ol' Red
