Painting Calipers, WAS ready to get started, but was missing my 1/2 inch drive 19mm long socket and breaker bar -.- so I had to go out and get another one. Now gotta wait until everything cools down from driving before I start.

I'm doing a base coat with VHT High Temp Primer, than going over that with Dupli-Color Metalcast Adonized Blue.

Here's an example of what it should look like at the end:

yesterday I installed generic door lock actuators in the old lady's impala... works great and under $10 instead of shelling out $250 for a pair of latches from GM

Today I repaired my shift linkage, then helped a buddy replace an HVAC blend door actuator in his honda.

babysitting my niece and nephew the last 3 hours was the hardest part of my weekend

Sweeeet. Dude this project is taking me longer that I thought. Started way too late in the day. Everything is off and cleaned, just started priming the caliper mounting brackets. Just 1 more coat on those then I can start moving onto painting them with the Anodized Blue. Then i'll move onto the caliper itself. Hopefully it doesn't get dark too quick.

Lol, right now I have 19L of crab apple wine and 23L of mixed fruit country wine. The apple cider is done and just aging a bit(trying to clear), the mixed fruit is gonna get the yeast later on tonight. Soon be time to put on some more beer too. All I've got now is a batch of oatmeal stout that went into bottles 2 weeks ago. My brewing season doesn't really kick off till the fall, once we stop camping and I have nothing else to do on the weekends lol.

Cool. I have a Riesling that has to get bottled, it's been in the second carboy for a couple of weeks. I just bottled a batch of Summer Ale for the wife. The next brew will be a Milk Porter and then another Aussie Ale.

Air condition that place! That's my plan with my garage. For about $500-ish I can get a hotel room style heat/AC unit

One house I looked at had vents from the main HVAC in the garage which I thought was a nice addition. This one has a detached garage though so no option to do that.

Contractor or DIY? I can get a new heat pump/propane furnace and stuff for about $4k from Alpinehomeair.com. I have a friend who has all the know-how on charging AC systems so we'll do the install DIY probably. Ditch the 1990 fuel oil furnace before next winter.

Ditching 1968 natural gas Williamson that is approximately 8x8 and grossly inefficient

If I had natural gas available I'd go that for heat and forget about the heat pump, but there isn't any.

It's a bit mind boggling to do the math on all the various things a house needs and see the dollar amounts... eek.

Even so... I still prefer that over renting.
