In the morning, doing some yard work, installing my door sills, and adjusting my sub box cover to prevent vibrations.

After that is beer and NCAAF. It feels like it has been forever since football has been on.

Starting directly after work....

Step 1 pull out junk motor(currently unhooked)

Step 2 check out my used motor for broken parts, and internal issues.

Step 3 assemble new motor and install if useable.

Step 4 gtfo and take a nice long drive.

Sooty about the slow updating guys been working 7am-915 the past couple of weeks.

Now I'm gonna get this shit done.

Replaced a rear hub bearing on my parents' 06 Pacifica. That old bearing was beyond toast. Stiff to spin, howled like a gorged bull.

More work than it appeared it would be. Spindle is aluminum, bearing is steel, so the salt-encouraged corrosion was even worse and locked the two together. So much more difficult than my front hubs on my TB ever were. I had to pull the spindle from the suspension (which by the way had 5, YES 5, control arms and a sway bar link attached to it from all different directions!) and beat the living daylights out of the old bearing from behind to finally knock it free.

Why they put this goofball 5 arm suspension design back there I have no idea. Seems overly complicated. Oh, and despite all that stuff there are no camber adjustments on the rear wheels either, go figure.
