Watching a new show called The Strain
I decided to DVR it, and started watching it last week. Pretty good, I think.

Reading. MSDS sheets, specifically. Did you know that consumption of ethanol can help decrease the metabolism of ethylene glycol (common ingredient in antifreeze)? I'm reading an MSDS for Valvoline's Zetex right now and it says this. It also says, and I quote, " If medical care will be delayed several hours, give the patient three to four 1-ounce oral "shots" of 86-proof or higher whiskey before or during transport to the hospital. "

So part of treatment potentially involves getting tipsy. The more you know!
I'll drink to that! [emoji1]

Just got back from a 4 mile jog. Starting to get warm. Cicadas are going crazy.

Once again waiting for my batman trailer hitch cover and switchback led's :frown:

In process of plastidipping the grill cross bar and maybe going over the grill as a whole over with gloss black krylon

haven't been on for a while. workin 2 jobs is kickin my ass... today was my first day off from both, so I took advantage and mowed the lawn, weed whacked, did the laundry, cleaned my house, washed the car and beaSSt, and then I fixed the rear window on my DD Grand Prix. Took my dog to the vet last Monday night, and she broke the window trying to get out going after another dog (shes a 100 lb German Shepherd). So bought a new regulator from the dealer (my fathers cost of course and surprisingly was the cheapest out of all the places I called) and installed it in 10 minutes lol...

Took a test drive. Temperatures are looking satisfactory, and as an added bonus, my brakes are nice and firm. Don't know how that happened as they still had the "normal little sponge" before, after replacing rear pads, so I guess I'll watch things and see if it is a sign or just something good happening for once.

fixed the shift lock solenoid wiring in my gfs wimpala. for some reason the ground wire going to the solenoid was shorter than the rest of the wires and eventually pulled out of the connector... shitty qc there...

next gripe is her rear door lock actuators, you can see them trying to pull but no go. apparently they are built into the latch, and have spring contacts that get corroded, which makes sense that increased resistance would hamper the current and slowly stop them from working. ~$270 for the pair, ugh maybe I'll hold off until christmas and call it her present...

I wonder how they even go about this? I doubt it's done by hand as it'd take longer and have the potential to have slack which (given thousands of wires across thousands of vehicles) could cost that sweet sweet money.

But how is the measurement taken? I would imagine some assembly line where they go "okay, we're putting two red wires in here and here, a black here, an orange here, and two green/whites, here and here." And instead of each station measuring out some length by hand, there is a machine which dispenses the required length. The actual assembly may still be hand-done, but with machine assistance to maximize efficiency and trim cost.

like any other manufacturing process, you have a jig. in this case it is a board with pegs in it. you just run the wires from point a to point b. looks like this

My mod bug is :celebrate: because it found a new play area. :hopeless:

Doing the work thing.
Checking tracking numbers constantly for the rest of my LEDs and for my trailing arm so I can get the truck back on the road again.
Flustered with Medicare crap that we're dealing with at work - they are just being stupid on requirements, now they are rewriting stuff, and won't tell us a darned thing what they're doing. Hard to meet requirements when they keep changing things and won't say what they're up to :hissyfit:

Got more decals today, will put em on later
