If I can get the new HVAC actuator installed, SWPS sensor replaced, and repair the bottom grid line on the rear window this weekend, I can finally get back to modding. It would be nice to finish up the fog light retro and install my Philips LED headlight that have been collecting dust.

Finally made an appointment for Thursday to get the DDM replaced, again. Hopefully this is the last time I have to take it to the dealership. Last time I tried to make an appointment at the dealership in WV, they told me that I had to come in so the guys could match up my interior color even after I told him what color :duh: I never went. Hopefully the dealership here in MD has more common sense.

I think the fog light retro should take precedent over the other things...at least the rear window. You don't need your window defogged during the summer. Unless you be gettin busy in the TB then you want your windows foggy anyways.

Just my :twocents: :rotfl:

Repairs over mods my friend, at least for me. Plus I would rather do it now since the temperature is up. Per the instructions, the grid repair and tab adhesive would never cure in the fall or winter months which is why I think the Permatex repair kits have so many bad reviews. Everyone is trying to do the repairs outside in the middle of winter. Rear window will only take 15-20 minutes. Prep the surface, put on the stencil, and apply 3-5 coats of the repair liquid. Hell I went it all winter without the rear defroster or windshield defroster working. I would rather not do that again this year.

Majority of the work to the fogs are complete. Test fit, check alignment, modify shroud to fit, then seal them.

Did you get the 880 XBs installed?

Yeah I hear ya on the repairs. I'm just looking forward to seeing the all completed.

I am gonna wait to install the new 880s until I get the headlights so they have even wear on them. The cheapo HIDs I have now are 6k and have too much blue so they are just pissing me off. The light output is good but they don't match the Morimoto 6500k I have in my lows. I feel like "that guy" driving down the road.

I thought you already had Morimoto 9006 HIDs. Don't forget to check the TRS thread I started with coupon codes. TRSFBLIKE works all the time for 5% off. I am sure they will be having a 4th of July sale again in a couple weeks.

TRSHJ also works for 10% off your order.

I do have those but the retrofit Aarkon is doing is going to use D2H 5500k for the lows. I had a few dollars in my business's PayPal account so I ordered the fogs off eBay. Didn't realize until just now that TRS accepts PayPal and didn't think about the discount code :banghead:

:rotfl: I tried last weekend and failed. Way too tight of a fit. 1/4" ratchet was too short to reach all the way on the backside and not enough leverage to turn and my 3/8" ratchet was too big. I forgot my mini ratchet set had a splined 1/4" driver and also a small splined knob that I can attach to the end. Should have plenty of room with that setup and have the leverage to loosen the 7/32 screws. I am going to go ahead and do the SWPS since I will already have the lower dash taken apart.

I forgot about the retro. Might as well hold out. What projectors are you getting that take D2H?

I got the Mini D2S 3.0 X lens but I'm going to use my 9006 ballast so instead of the D2S bulbs I am going with D2H.

I got to get the exhaust mods done. Hacked off behind the lil muffler is annoying when the kids want the back windows down.

I've had my exhaust setup picked out since the late fall but everytime I'm ready something has come up. What is your exhaust plan?

Make use of the over year old New parts in my garage. Magnaflow muffler, y pipe, couple of 3.5 inch stainless 18 inch tips. Tonight I need to flex out the truck and see if I can run dual over rear axle or if I will be sticking with just one output. I have always liked dual even if just for looks on the I6.

Nice! I've been drawn towards dual output ever since my cutlass. My Voy is the first vehicle I chose that didn't have at least stock dual outputs. I plan on picking up a stainless Flowmaster and running duals. Its just a matter of doing

It seems my mod bug has noticed that there are many build threads on the interwebz for building a "stealth camper" out of the cargo model astro vans....this may not end well...

Mod bug gets to feed tonight. The led bar for license plate has deteriorated to just a couple lit dimmly so I will be installing the led bolt lights to see how they work so I dont get pulled over for no plate light which is a big thing around here

Been researching retrofits again. The halogens in my Silverado are not bad at all, but I won't be able to leave it alone. Once the bank account is happier I'll be getting stuff for that project. Hopefully it won't take me 2 years like the last one

Looking at using FX-R projectors this time around. Harder to do, but more light. A fair bit more expensive too since I technically already have all the major parts for a retrofit already in the Trailblazer, I could just move those over.

After researching stealth campers a bit more I have a feeling my mod bug may end up oding over the next couple months lol...I can visualize the layout I want to build along with how to build the foldaway desk into the passenger side wall.

Well at least I can say my retrofits haven't taken the most calendar time :raspberry: And trust me the local members here are quick to remind me EVERY time we hang out. While the place I live now, has a level surface for me to park, there's nothing convenient to shine the projectors for additional alignment. :frown: Plus it doesn't help that it's light out pretty late down here. I've been starting to get the itch to work on my retro again.

While moving some stuff around the other day, stumbled onto those LEDs and PCBs I soldered up not too long ago. Need to go through my component bins and put together some control modules and drivers for them. Maybe I can do that this weekend...

You can make anything fit, as long as you have a Dremel, and some duct tape. Add in a tube of RTV and some JB Weld, if you wanna be fancy like that. :deal:

Lol. No sure how fancy I want to get. Or how much work I want to do to those lights. Just looking for a little upgrade. Was actually hoping someone would chime in saying they had panels in there and they work great. Lol.

Maybe I'll cut a piece of cardboard or something close to the thickness and test fit it first.

I'm wide awake and bored at home and have been searching eBay for too long I think.

I've seen people stick LED panels in there before, and larger ones than those, so you should be fine as long as you get a good seal to keep water out.

The white led interior really is nice, but of course the kids first comment is Where did your green lights go. I like them. Now I may need to hunt down brighter greens.
