I have 8k right now because I got them for free. I am getting 4300k when I get the headlights.Capote said:What temp are yours? No offense, but I don't like the temp you run... Not white enough
FWIW, I'll be rocking my old Morimoto 3Five 6000Ks for a while. My tastes have changed since I got in the HID game, I think I'll be going with 4300K or 5000K the next time, these are a little more blue than I'd like. But they are still bright as hell.Capote said:Booooo to any yellow besides 3K. Just makes me think of ugly halogens. I might just get 6K or 8K. I might just go with Kensun, like I always have and get their bulbs
I see no yellow with the 4500k as they appear white to me, not as white as the 5000k, but definitely no yellow or anything close to a halogen. They are only 500k away from the 5000k. I have also noticed HIDs have a different color when comparing them in a projector and in a reflector housing. Reflector housing appears to give them a slightly higher kelvin. Maybe that just me.Mounce said:You might see yellow with 4300 but shouldn't at 5000
Are you talking about anything, but 3000k in the fogs? I ran them for a while in the OE reflector housing and was not impressed. Maybe 3000k would be better in a projector for the fogs.Capote said:Booooo to any yellow besides 3K. Just makes me think of ugly halogens. I might just get 6K or 8K. For whatever reason, the new XB line is now 4500k and 5500k. The Morimoto XB line seem to be much brighter than their 3Five line. I cannot tell much difference in color between the 4300k and the 4500k.Blckshdw said:FWIW, I'll be rocking my old Morimoto 3Five 6000Ks for a while. BlazingTrails said:I make fun of people who have matching head lights and fog lights. I guess they don't understand what they are designed to do lol
They used too. I guess they care more about ascetics than function now days.dmanns67 said:[emoji14]opcorn:
Why do engineers build vehicles with fogs lights and not install a 3000k bulb?
Yeah I read their description, cool concept, but nobody should have to power it on....Mounce said:I've seen them before... They're not glow in the dark by normal terms because they're powered, but some can vary between shades of blue and green.
-while others are fixed color with only brightness controls.
Lol they try to put that in fine printMounce said:It only glows a color if you power it...otherwise, it'll be just a white face gauge.
BlazingTrails said:SO...It is now tax season and I know, yes I KNOW what you guys are thinking. Maybe you can order a crap load of mods for your truck since you have all this extra money coming back? Well I am telling you that you CAN fight the urge! you don't need that 3" lift kit no, and you don't need any more LEDS! Think of your family and what you may be putting them through. Just. Say. No.
