Does not look too bad until it comes time to drive at night. Have you tested headlight output, or is it completely black?

Can see headlights and bottom turn signals threw it in daytime. I'll see tonight!

Check back with night output?!
I think I may put this on the list to do among others when I fix what I'm putting off

:rotfl:

Still looks sweet though! May have to give it a chance over a weekend with no night driving. Or maybe some aux lights, some really powerful auxiliary lights :undecided:

VHT niteshades would be more appropriate than plasti dip as it is designed to let some light through, however it is permanent and would still cut down on light output.

I tinted my headlights once. What was I thinking?

:iagree: Any tint or covering on headlights is not a great idea unless it is a show truck. The TB does not have great light output as it is with the standard halogen bulbs. Now you could always do a projector retrofit and paint everything behind the lens black. That would look good.

A "light" coat of vht would look good and have light output. Just use hids and you'll be fine. Projectors would be even better. Cracking lights open and painting bezels with projectors would be best imo.

For those who are attracted to the temporariness of plasti dip, just get a couple pieces of translucent tinted vinyl. Companies like Rvinyl make pre-cut headlight kits if you don't feel comfortable trimming them yourself. :twocents:

Painted the grill and bowtie. Tinted the corner and parking lenses. Restored the headlights until I do the projector retro. Love cheap mods.

Your truck has come a long way in a short time with some simple mods and a little love.

Thank you! It really was a great base to build from, just neglected. I don't have much more planned. Interior only needs front seats recovered. Need to rebuild the ac system, add 1.5" of lift(so glad I did jump the gun and lower....its a damn 4x4) and 285s, and hitting the good, roof, rockers, and bumpers with some monstaliner. There are other things on the list, but that covers the bulk of it.

Went and took some shots for the photo contest yesterday. I have a bunch more than this but I narrowed them down to 4.

Not sure if I should go with #2 or #4
