I just read that my old unit, 1st Battalion 9th Marines (The Walking Dead), has been deactivated again. The last time they were deactivated was after Vietnam. I wish I could have been there for the ceremony. Majority of my active duty time was spent with 1/9. I bet you like the name huh Porkins

Our Brigade is closing in October, we're going to be transferring over to 1st Brigade, 1-41 Field Artillery and become their Charlie Battery, taking our Paladins over there with us.

Well this is fun, the trailing arm didn't break because of rust at the break point... It broke because the pocket and the end of the arm rusted together and seized up, so the arm was flexing instead of the bushing, which fatigued the metal and broke it.
