That sucks, bro. I don't know if I could move on from this platform after mine. I would probably do the same, sparky.

I will keep mine forever. I still have my Burban that has been stored near 10 years in a barn, but this spring it should be back out to play

Already have ideas/plans on how to prevent rust from taking over on the replacement. Redo all door drain holes, grind and smooth out all the door seams, heavy undercoating on the frame exterior... Not sure how I'd coat the interior of the frame yet. That is primarily where mine rotted was from the inside out.

Short term. My current 02 will stick around for a little while yet, but sometime this year will be retired and parted out. The rust cancer is terminal and has been rotting the frame for some time and there are some pretty bad holes in it.
Do you have access to a shop? You could find a frame and drop your body onto it. With a couple of people it could be done over a weekend

My truck's body is pretty well rusted too. I patched it back together this past summer but it is pretty bad. Remember my "redneck body work" thread? Yeah.

There are plenty more higher dollar options including increased capacity covers, but I want rock protection.

Have fun with that. Highly doubt they have them and if they do they'll probably be $300.
