Same here lol.

Reason for skipping making a relay setup for quad beams to me are: there will already two relays there, diodes will have nearly no load also it's a tight spot. Extremely simple, no messing with long lengths of wire. Biggest factor...cheap. I'm a cheapskate.

Or you could just splice in a Bosch type relay into the factory harness along the drivers side inner fender where most gmt400 owners add it.

Or.... just do the quad mod in the back seat fuse box. Even easier.

You should be able to do the same thing with diodes in the fuse box under the hood. Same concept.

Do they have relays? Lol never been in it's fuse box. Thought it might be directly driven by the switch.

That is if there is an underhood fuse box...can't remember when the gmt400 series trucks got them. Plus they do not use the ecm to control lights like our 360s.

You will have to check google. When I was first researching the diode mod, I came across alot of chevy trucks. Videos and pics. From what I remember, they had relays. Maybe it was on the newer trucks.

It is direct from switch...that's why the relay harness is so popular to reduce the chance of burning up said switch. I can look up the link where I found instructions when I get to my comp and send it to Ya via pm.
