cant speak to highly on basspro durability the guy who sold me it told yeah guys buy these for shotguns and ars all the time i had the pursuit red dot on at the range on about my 50th shot everything went fuzzy..Implosion.
took it back guy said coworker was a fool and recommended only on rim fire weapons. But now I have my vortex recommended only for flat top ars with Lifetime no receipt no registration warranty.

Buddy of mine came over to help get started on the mini range we're making behind my place, happened to bring his ak with him :undecided:
So0o0o0o after lugging around building materials, cement blocks, several wheelbarrows of dirt and wood blocks, we take a lunch break. As we're eating, we figure why not lol

The range, when finished is going to consist of 2 target frames for paper circle targets 3 rows of 3, 4 poles that hold 5 glass/plastic bottles upright each, a full size silhouette, and a battling tree plink target.

Nothing professional, but not too bad for the 6 or 7 of us who love to shoot and are quite competitive

Will post pics of the finished product when it gets there. I have a hand surgery scheduled for tomorrow, so that's gonna take me out of the loop for a while.

The cover for the light wasn't secured when I opened it, so after the first shot, it flipped down lol
:duh:

Beretta 9000S [Traded Out]

Next on my list... accessories!

I took the new (to me) Beretta O/U out today for the first time. It shot sweet, if I did my part I would dust the clays.
I will admit though that the nicest part is the cleaning. When we got back, my neighbor asked me to help him clean the Remington 11-87 that he brought. We disassembled it down to but not including the trigger group and scrubbed, cleaned and oiled it (sparingly). Got it nice and clean but still a lot of work. Now when it came to my O/U, I wiped out the receiver with a dab of CLP and it was done. Just 2 quick pulls of the bore snake and 1 run through with the Tico rod and I was done. Oh yea, the chokes will have to sit a little while in cleaner, no problem.

I also played with the factory chokes a little. For the most part, I did better with the Imp. Mod than the Mod, and I think the lower barrel is my favorite. The recoil pad could maybe be changed or maybe porting will help. All in all, I think I have a keeper.

I need to get more ammo and get out to practice more before I take my CCW course next month. It is hard to find any ammo at a decent price right now though.

Even Walmart is empty on ammo...o_O

Best deal I can find on 223 around here would require me to buy 1000rds we are down to $25 boxes per 20 shells. Sooo im waiting on cabellas to get there bulk restocked.. The gun world is running scared again My model Ar sold for $1000+ at the gun show saturday I payed $700 a month ago

I took our Trailblazer on a 120 mile roundtrip to Rochester, Minnesota this morning. The Minnesota Weapon Collector's Association holds a gun show at the Civic Center there and for the first time I arrived early. I am guessing here, but, I think there were somewhere on the order 250+ people waiting for the doors to open. Needless to say, the crowd got bigger as the morning went on. As I was walking around I noticed one table that was quite busy. They were selling AR 30 round mags, gov't surplus aluminum, mags that a few years ago were four to five dollars were going like hotcakes @$50 each. Very little ammo there and almost no reloading stuff.

I renewed many old acquaitances, shook alot of hands and killed a few bulls.

By the way, for those needing just a little more for your picatinny rail, you might to check out zipfactory.com at the link below.

Somebody's laughing all the way to the bank. Cheaper Than Dirt's lowest price is $22.59 a box and they're out of stock on most brands. The last time I bought any it was like $11.00 a box! Glad I'm a hoarder! I wonder what my Colt Sporter Match HBar A-2 is worth now? And I've got a dozen magazines, some doubles. Guns. The new Gold!

Hey Badbart,

Thanks for letting me know the link was broken. It is fixed now! Try it again.

Click on "take action Now" on the right side of the page. You might have to scroll down a little bit.

Leaving tomorrow to attend the SHOT show in Vegas. I will let everyone know what I find.

Have fun!

The number of troops committing suicide last year exceeded the number of combat deaths.

I couldn't believe this headline today. 349 killed themselves. How sad.

When are you heading back? I have to run up to Carson City Thursday and will be back late Thursday night.

Decided I was going to buy a S&W M&P 40, and a additional 9mm barrel, and a S&W M&P 22.. Just gotta find a dealer that has them in stock! S&W is telling the dealers they are on a 1 month back log in orders.

I looked at the Cheaper Than Dirt online catalog yesterday. The cheap 30 round plastic magazines for my Colt AR15 are $39.95 and the original metal 30 round Colt mags are $129.95! :lipsrsealed:

CTD has sold out. They inflated all there pricing on everything since the shooting and even refused orders for a certain amount of time.

It is crazy how much money they are bringing in right now so glad i bought mine when I did. There is some local shops still stocked as long as your over $1900 on price under that dream on.

I just got back from the Shot Show and I was talking with a large Wholesaler of reloading supplies. He said that they sent an order of 5 million primers to one company and they sold out of them before the day was over. I even shopped by some high end air gun booths just to see what my options were if people can't get anything powder driven.

This shit is nuts.

Yeah, some are making a buck or two off this frenzy. If I'd seen it coming I'd have liked to be in on it too. Just glad I already have what I have....

I filed for my firearms identification in November. Finally got it yesterday, now that prices are through the roof. The plan is to get a solid handgun and a few other toys and hope this shit blows over. I guess its better that I am late to the party than never.

Maybe its time we do some black ops zip gun building skills rather than relying on the so called supply and demand motto
